  1. My strategy is to destroy all the shields as fast as possible, then turn on the bullet time and ram the core.

Once you get inside the inner circle you can turn off bullet time if you are not directly touching the core cube.

I think Vally has the right idea here. Kill a lot of enemies to get your multiplier way up before moving on to the higher levels. Oh and then don't die ; ) Easy. Haha.

Vally - yeah we should take LeD out of it - I owe him a consolation prize anyway : ) Like our new h.grenade branded beer and Kelvin Ma is teh sux t-shirt.

The App is being submitted as we speak. A few bug fixes had to be completed and then tested:

    17. Fixed XP calculations - It was awarding extra points to some people
    18. Faster Controller Polling – Improve input response time
    19. Bullet.Time Pause – Fix bug where game would not pause

I loved the comment "the hard core don't ever pause" haha. nice one. Actually that should be our t-shirt : )

One other piece of crucial info for anyone having framerate issues. Check your free RAM with something like MemoryInfo - CS.One NEEDS 28MB which should be a given on any iDevice but a lot of stuff never releases used RAM even iPhone native apps. Once your RAM is gone you will experience more weird bugs like the double ship, etc. Everything just goes sucky.

I was thinking that I might be able to add a dual stick controller to this - I had one very early on and thought that it was pretty lame. But hey a lot of people like them so maybe I will try it again. It pretty much sucks because you can't thrust and rotate separately - no strafing or skill maneuvers. If I can find a way to balance it out scoring wise it might be worth including. What do you guys think?

I don't like the dual stick control option. I just don't think it would work well for this game.

    NO! :)
Please keep your game separated from the others, you have a unique game at the moment, don't downgrade your game to just a stylish version of another idracula, nanofighter, light blabla clone! Stay hardcore and stick with your original concept. If you want to use the dual stick controls, bring another game.
This needs to be controlled the way it is. (Please!)

I agree with YPR, the controls are perfect just the way they are. If you do add other controls, make sure it is only an added option please:)

Yea... keep the controls the way there are. I'm not saying I dislike the dual analog stick controls (I love them in games like Geometry Wars 1/2), but I like the controls right now for cs.one. It has that old school asteroid vibe, and I think they work out pretty well for this style of game, considering we have to worry about zero-gravity which was never an issue in games like Geometry Wars (minus the crazy black holes).

STP_Tim... Do you know this guy? ; )

Thanks for the input guys. Those were the same decisions that I came to early on. I just know that a lot of people are expecting it to work like that because its a "space shooter" and even some reviewers. They they get cranky when it actually takes work to enjoy it.

I just played the Defender XBLA demo last night and couldn't survive for more than like 1 minute. Talk about difficult. It's just a very different world these days. People want everything easy. Including me, apparently. haha

I dunno, I could see it offering an interesting twist to the dual stick thing controlling your ship in zero gravity like that...it might be like drifting and you'd likely slide into something you didn't want to. You could include it as an option just to let people play around with it.

If you did it would be good to have an option and a seperate leaderboard for it, more leaderboards equals more competition which equals more fun. Honestly I would say you should only because it would help increase your sales and this is one of the few games I would like to see do good and hit the top 100's. I say do it and if you ever have stuff like online multiplayer or co-op make it so they have to play in the original and intended controls. Basically cap the dual stick controls to were it is still fun but everything is halved and more difficult. Make it to were the exp is twice as hard to earn, another set of achievements and the score is cut down by 1/2 or even 3/4. Those are just examples, but I think you get what im trying to say.

But then again it kind of depends on whether you want to increase(maybe/hopefully) sales by branching out or do you wanna stay true keeping it like you wanted and having the game sustain a core group of gamers. Personally I like the first choice only because there could be a possibility in an increase in sales.

    P.S.
Almost got a million(835,000) today, but was at the hospital(visiting) playing in a chair and a nurse bumped me and I died. Getting better :)

Instead of another control scheme just add it as an Arcade mode. It would be good for quick sessions that players could jump in and out of.

I'd love to see a deathmatch mode though. I have a really good idea of how it would work too.

Yeah online deathmatch with at least 4 people would be fantastic, yet challenging to accomplish =/

Yeah I don't mind that you take me out of the contest. It really isn't fair cause of my divine skill! Just throw some of that beer my way:D Oh and no dual stick. That's for little girls!!

haha - yeah if balanced right it could be cool. My inital idea for multiplayer if and when we can get it done was two vs. two capture the flag style and a one vs. one setup where the winner gets to stay in the arena. 3 lives only. Lose and you go to the back of the line. But everyone else gets to spectate the match and chat. It was my favorite in Q3A. So strategic and the guy who was always in there beating people was an ace with the rail gun and you just wanted to beat him soooo badly. Very intense.

In order to make it fun we would need to allow the ship to have health so it's not a one shot kill and additional armor as a pick up. Weapon upgrades would be pick ups too so it really comes down to having a strategy to control the map. Knowing when weapons, armor and health respawn and where.

The biggest question in my mind is what to do with the arenas they need to be symmetrical for best gameplay balance but should they have hard objects to hide behind. What about teleport it would have to be changed slightly so you don't port from you side of the map to theirs in an instant.

Hit me up with some ideas. I would love to see what you guys have in mind.

    odd problems

haven't had problems with this game really until today...one game it transported me twice directly on an enemy to explode, then another game my ship turned white and you couldn't see my lasers yet I was still able to shoot then I died and went to the stat screen and in the background my ship regenerated, got killed then the stat screen reloaded. sucks because I like this game....plus I'm still not able to update scores and my user name is just text, nothing weird...

Did you reboot your iDevice to free up memory.
