haah yeah, but its TA'ers thatve been looking forward to this game so yeah... on that note... i saw ISPAZIO while looking through the high scores, n ispazio.net is a source thing for jailbroken idevices!!! bitches better not be cracking this! its only 99 cents how low can u get...
Ended up just fooling around with the neat 2.5d menu. I gotta say everything is cool about this game except the lag...
Oh dear oh dear oh dear! I've only been playing for 10 minutes and i'm picking up a really, REALLY annoying control bug. On Advanced control, it says the left 2/3 is for turning and the right 1/3 is for thrusters. HOWEVER... ... That left 2/3 seems to also consist of a small section on the right hand side of the screen... How did beta testers not pick up on that?! It renders it almost impossible to use. I go to turn left, then boost out the way suddenly, and instead, all that happens is with my left thumb OFF THE SCREEN, I am simply standing still and turning in circles for a full two seconds then getting killed. Back to learning basic control method until that's fixed then...
I keep treating that bottom left "analog stick" as an analog stick, and it got me no where. I just tap it now to control the direction of my ship. Also, its somewhat laggy, I have an iPod Touch 2G.
Definitely some lag on my 3.0b 3G. I thought it might be a beta issue. Great game, and boy is it challenging! Minor quibbles: 1. The game doesn't seem to save your progress if you exit and then relaunch - you have to start a new game. 2. The text is *extremely* hard to read - very small type, & no contrast. Maybe I'm just getting old, but would like it if devs took this into consideration. 3. The control scheme is good, but somehow I really like isotope's approach where the thumbstick recenters. I think all games should do that. Anyway, quibbles aside, for 0.99 it's a total steal. Back to playing! --Alexis
Well besides the lag and the bad text its a great game for only a buck! Beware though the control scheme takes some getting used to.
Yea the controls do. I keep thinking it'll play like those dual analog arena shooter games (iDracula, Light Wars, *insert some Geometry Wars clone here*).
Basic scheme also has control problems... I'm very, very disappointed. The game itself is absolutely excellent, but with the level of precision it requires i'm having an awful lot of problems. It's not very good at recognising multiple inputs. If i'm trying to turn my ship and fire at the same time, then keep turning and boost, it won't boost. I've had several moments in my already short time of gameplay where i've completely let go of all movement controls only to find i'm not boosting, or shooting, i'm just continuously turning. Or i've had my thumb completely off the shoot area and i've still been shooting while trying to boost, I know the beta testers have managed to get incredibly high scores but right now, to me, the controls are incredibly imprecise and very buggy and that's a huge huge shame. T_T
Number 11 on the global scores. On my way to the top. It is quite challenging but man, I will be coming back to this one over the next few weeks.
Actually the control reminds me of driving games... or something like Car Jack Streets (when you use a steering wheel).
Keeps crashing on the first level (1st gen iphone with 2.2.1) I've only been able to play 8 10 sec sessions So far, not worth my dollar.
