There are separate scoreboards per difficulty, right? If all of these difficulties share a common scoreboard I think I might get sick.
I'm still moving on up. le'deuche123, you've got your work cut out for you now. I just reached the global #1 spot.
It's a common scoreboard. I think what's more interesting is the 'faction' element to the scoring, in that if you join a faction then you & team mates experience and scores will be combined for the online ranking of that faction. It seems unfair that the default is to have no faction, or freelancer - but that in itself is a faction. So the freelancer faction will have the most members and probably the most xp/points overall. It would be good if the freelancer group wasn't displayed on the board, making it an incentive for someone to join up to another faction.
But if I get this right all one has to do to increase their groups ranking is to make sure all of the players are playing on Easy for massive scores, right? How does this game EVEN try to equate Easy to Hardcore scores on the scoreboard? I hope I'm missing something but, DANG, this seems like an imperative tweak ASAP.
Damn I've been playing on hardcore! That 3 mil I posted was on hard! Come on shay split the boards by difficulty, or I might as well play on easy oh and for the record I bought a copy of the retail version to support h.grenade
I also bought the retail version in the App Store despite the review build Play on easy and see how you go
Hardcore mode is easier to score on. Much easier. Easy mode doesn't have even half as many enemy spawns. Hardcore mode gives you a much higher multiplier much quicker, aswell as allowing you to rinse out the terminals for higher score a lot quicker. If you can put up with the higher concentration of enemies then Hardcore is an easier time scoring wise.
In a game that is all about getting a high score, this is a PAINFUL omission to me. Let's see, I could play in the basic mode OR shoot myself in the foot by playing in Hardcore Mode. I'm sure playing in Hardcore is a fun rewarding experience for the more skilled players but as it stands, it sounds its like drag racing with your brakes on the entire time.
There's more to it than that. Like Vally said, there's plenty more scoring opportunities on the higher difficulties. I got my first 1.8 million on medium, then the latest 2.6 million on easy - and yeah you can 'cheat' by milking the enemy spawns around level 6-7. But that 1.8M came much faster than the easy score, so I'm betting if I improve enough I can pull 3M+ on medium and eventually on hard too, in a shorter space of time than if I played on easy. I still haven't unlocked hard difficulty, how is this done?
I don't know why don't you guys actually try putting a 3mil score on hardcore mode. If it's so easy why aren't you doing it?
Okay, calming down a bit, there IS some clever attempt to balance things a bit then. Cool. How are the harder difficulties unlocked?
Alright guys, take it easy, cs.one leaderboards getting rather intense I was going to mention that the harder modes allow you to rack up points easier, but this doesn't last too long with me. Before I even reach a mil my lives are gone already due to the intensity of the enemies. That 1.1mil highscore before was an exception, but usually, hardcore mode isn't easy to play, I die way too quick in rapid succession. Vally, which faction are you in? Maybe you should join the elite Red Cell alongside Le'Deuche
Nah I'm not trying to be a dick it's all good, I'm just a little annoyed that you guys are saying easy is just as hard as hardcore mode. Yeah there's a little bit of balance but as I'm sure your finding out it's not easy by any means. Just tryed easy and threw out 2.5 mil. Whatever, breaking up the leaderboards by difficulty should solve the problem Edit: vally and different: you guys SHOULD join redcell then we can just work together
Competition Would anyone like to see a competition for best score? Say, over the next 7 days -- a hefty iTunes voucher for whoever racks up the most? Just an idea...
I think hardcore mode is a lot harder than easy mode, but is easier to score points on in the earlier levels. By the 5-6th level, it just gets impossible for me. Any word from Shay, Mike? Haven't heard from him in a few days. Enjoying his hard earned cash I imagine EDIT: I just realised Vally and different are both in the top 5 as well. Join Red Cell
I finally got to number 7 in the leader boards! *cough* Join Black Opz. *cough* Sorry if this has been mentioned before but does anyone else have a problem where the thrust button lags in basic control? I've died numerous times because i'm firing at something then I try to get away but I cant move at all. I even take my thumb off the screen to press it a few times but I didn't move. Maybe its because of the lag on my 1st gen touch?
