Yeah ... I still can't help drooling over it. App store approve it soon! But I just wish there would be an rpg with co-op so I could dump my henchmen and play with a friend from another town in another place.
You wouldn't have known that the multiplayer function was AI-controlled had I not written that in my article... truth to be told when I was playing the game I thought someone else was playing me at the same time. Until I figured out that I wasn't - it was just one of my fellow beta tester's AI characters since he didn't even have his iDevice at that time. There will be guilds, team fights, and more online features added via update. Right now this game will blow away most other RPGs on the App Store - it's quite a nice title. Boss fights are also difficult - you can't spam health potions since they have a long recharge time, and there are certain "legendary" creatures throughout the game that can kill you in one hit. Haven't figured out how I can kill them yet...
On a side note - all equipment changes such as armor, shields, and weapons are reflected in game. The only thing that I haven't seen change yet are the gloves, boots, and necklaces and other accessories. In addition - the game also has a alchemize feature I didn't include in my preview because it hadn't been implemented yet. For this feature, you can gather "recipes" from monster drops or buy them from Wandering Merchants, and if you have the ingredients you can create rare, un-purchasable items that pack quite a punch. Or the recipes may just give you 20 small health potions. Depends on the recipe, but it'll always tell you what you get when you combine the items and what items are needed.
The first Chronicles of Inotia is the game that actually got me interested in iPhone/iPod Touch RPG's. I really enjoyed it even though I did'nt play it all the way through. Anyway, I'm definitely excited to get my hands on this!
I wonder what you mean by team fights? - is there a chance that there will be co-op, so that I can beat those legendary creatures with the help of a friend? - that would be amazing since co-op, two-player pve is my favorite element. Anyway, as it stands, I'm so excited!!!about this game. I plan on buying it the day it's released - I've watched several beta videos and read your review, and as it stands I bet it's going to be the best RPG on the app store - however, I have my fingers tightly crossed for some sort of co-op in the future.. I'm glad potions have a long recharge time. Also, the recipe/crafting system you mention sounds awesome. Would be great if you could collect some unique raw materials from a few legendary monsters to craft some legendary weapons! Damn, I'm already planning my character and two henchmen from the scraps of information I have about the game! - Hurry up app store approval team!
wow! looks very much improved! i played the first one, i think i've gone far enough but didn't finished it and i love RPG with party system, this one i think is the coolest looking upcoming RPG on the iDevice too bad there are big games coming also this month maybe i'll get this after i get back from poverty
what's with korean developers and making all female characters super busty? Are korean women all flat over there?
I wonder if you can swap around your henchmen - or if you're committed to them once you've picked a certain one.
