No way! The previous background was a free image got from a website, this one is made by our designer. Looking at it in movement doesn't look plain for me, just wait a little and you can see the whole thing in movement, then we can discuss if anything has to be changed (once again ) this is a non-stop job.
GC Oh! and one more thing... I may be able to finally fix GameCenter, still not confirmed, but I think I'm very close to it ;-)
Awesome!! But doesnt Choco look a bit cartoonish compared to the realistic background and the overall screenshot? Maybe i shall wait for the new version of video?
Love it Great to see such a good game from a fellow Corona Developer. Congrats guys. Really nice. A little hard for me but it just means I need to train more.
Ok. Getting better. Some levels frustrate the hell out of me. Was super meat boy this hard? I have never played it.
Indeed Choco is more cartoonish now. We like a lot that kind of mix because it's not exaggerated but adds the animation we want for a living piece of chocolate and the definition of squared and rough levels to make the path intuitive for the player. But as I've said, it's not such a huge style difference, at least for us is just a slightly different one. You should see the next levels too but... not yet
It really is harder than Choco as later levels demand perfection on every jump and levels are much larger on some cases. Even with that, I would recommend every player out there to play it as it's an awesome game.
Ok ok... no more teasing, but still not finished, we will be ready in just a few more weeks, please be patient, new levels have to be cool too ;-) this is not just about the graphics!
We are also changing the way level unlock works, so everyone can play lots and lots of levels and get better at it to complete the entire game ;-)
I received the Choco-plushie, and he already ran into trouble! EDIT: that pic came through a lot bigger than I was expecting...
Next update will bring more plushies for the chosen ones who manage to beat the game and post every score at openfeint! Still working... one day maybe I'll sleep...
