I bought this game when it was free for the first 1000 downloads and have really enjoyed it. It is nice because you play asynchronously with other people online. In other words, you don't log in and play one game against one other player all the way through, but play one move at a time. This is nice because you can play just when is convenient and can play more than one game at a time. I would encourage anyone to get this game while it is free again. It is definitely worth 3 or 4 dollars.

    Second.

I second that. I bought this when it first came out and it has quickly become the app I look forward to playing the most.

I have the app but am too intimidated to try it out seeing how my chess skills are pretty poor. How long does a game usually take? I imagine they can go on for days.

Yep, depending on how often you and your opponent go into the app to make a move it could take weeks. The fun part though is playing a lot of games at once (I have three going on right now, but am going to start a few more). It's good practice too! :)

I caught the free offer this time around! I'm really fond of the ability to play random individuals, as well as passing to play friends!

    Yay!

I saw this was released and put in on my to buy list for next month! So while it is free I'll download it now. I look forward to proving just how much I suck at chess. It should be fun.

Does anyone else have to log in EVERY time they open it?! Is this part of the game or am I doing something wrong

It will know you and auto loads after you create a username.

    This game app ROCKS.

A great way to learn to play chess and think/learn.

Give it a try. Nice play mechanics when you can play the game in the cloud and return anytime to continue.

Now there's a perfect example of why we need image size controls in the forum! ;)
