While I don't know how the sacrifice stuff works in the scoring, the basic scoring is simply based on the final piece played when the other player can no longer make a move multiplied by turn number. So the longer you can stretch stuff out the better BUT, if the game goes beyond 10 turns, the game is considered a draw.
seems a bit illogical its goes by how many turns. Why is a person penalized for winning in few turns? I'm annoyed with Albert AI winning by points
I wouldn't call it 'penalty' if you still win . Sure, you get less points if you win early, but it is still a win. And what can I tell about Albert AI? It will try to win every time (or at least go for a tie), but sometimes it still makes mistakes, so there is hope
Thanks Digoben. Apologies for the late reply - I actually wasn't following the thread, and as I wasn't quoted here I didn't receive a notification I'll try this then. Best of luck!
Well, initially I was planning to do the portrait version (even did the prototype), but it really didn't work. It was not looking good, the cards had to be partly visible, the player cards were too squeezed and the clarity of the game table was missing. In landscape it looked much better and these problems were gone, so I went this route.
