There is absolutely no reason it can't run on lesser ios'. Funny bc it would probably run on an iPhone 4 that isn't capable of running iOS 9.2, but my 6s+ 9.0.2 can't play it. Am I living in 2016? Also very pitiful to forgo the $ ppl want to spend as I assume this is indie. Good luck with that one. Failure to launch, literally.
i'm just talking to Joshua on twitter, told me that will fix this iOS thing on the next update... hope so. come on devs, i'm still playing fine, on my old 4S with 7.1.2, a lot of recently published games, why couldn't play this one? edit > my theory is that the f***ing big A always suggests the devs (specially rookie ones) to support the newer iOS only... i guess they need to sell more and more new devices
Guys they're going to look into it, calm down. It's their first release, maybe they didn't even intend do restrict it to that version and up?

i've talked to Joshua before the 11th, the first estimated date of publishing, and asked him if the game would work on iOS 7, and he answered me positively, so this isn't his fault... read the edit in my previous post.
It's hardly a big deal. This has happened with other games and they will get the requirements lowered to 7 or OS8. No dev purposely wants to limit his pool of potential customers. What worries me more is that this is a platformer (worse kind of game for a touchscreen) and it doesn't offer movable or configurable controls. This is what's always needed. Even a game like Space Grunts (which is not even a platformer) has movable and sizable controls. Looking forward to trying it out.
Glad to hear the Dev will address the 9.2 requirement - my advice would be to consider that a priority to maximise potential user base. There's a lot of us out there that haven't upgraded and probably won't for a while yet. Disappointed as this looks like it's right up my street - will await with bated breath.
The directional pad on iPad needs a fix... Is almost 6,5cm width from right to left. The dev already said his gonna work on this so for now... i cannot wait cause the game is fantastic!!! Brilliant ost also!
Yep, want this game. No, I won't give up MHFU for it by moving to iOS 9.2. Fortunately, this dev seems a great deal more reasonable, approachable and responsive to his potential customers than *#$%ing Capcom...
I only get to see the black screen saying "retro goodness loading..." and then the app just dies. I've tried to start it about 5 times and it's been the same every single time. iPod Touch 5 running iOS 9.2.1
Was gutted when I saw the 9.2 requirement but looks like that is being addressed? I hope so,looks awesome.
Hope they address the touch boxes for the d-pad as well. Heard rumblings of its unresponsiveness and shortcomings. Hoping for customizable also. Not holding breath.
Morning/Afternoon/Evening to everybody! First I want to apologize to those that can't play on iOS 7 and 8, we are working on getting it out to you. I understand some of you are jailbroken and we want to make sure you get to experience our app. Also we noticed during our testing outside from using a simulator some of you get a black screen upon loading which we are working on as well. The first update will resolve these issues and then another update after will allow you to customize the controls more. Emergency Studios wants to thank all of you for the awesome feedback and we would like to ask to please be patient. This is our first game release for iOS so we are learning while we go through this amazing experience. Thank you.
Ditto. Am not doing any more iOS updates with the current state of how much Apple breaks with each release.
