Thank you Ganesh! I've updated my AppStore review. Now I'm going to go test out the iCloud back up. Billy
Thanks Billy!.The review is now showing on App Store really helps a lot, we are getting more visibility as time goes by which is nice. Also did any of you try iCloud,MFI? Also note that the game will take the best of the saves if you have played it on multiple devices(i.e combines the 2 rather than just take one the first time) I am actually quite eager to hear the feedback on MFI as there are many different controllers and would love to know how it works on them. Best Regards, Ganesh
OK, I was able to stop in at my house for about an hour and try out the new MFI update! I am happy to report that the game plays wonderfully with my Mad Catz Micro CTRLi. The flight controls feel very natural with an analog stick and I was quickly able to get used to using buttons for acceleration and deceleration, boosting and Eagle vision. I did notice in the tutorial, instructions tell you to use the A button for acceleration (which is correct), and then the next step also says B is for acceleration, when it is actually for deceleration. No biggie to figure out which was correct, but easy enough to clean up in a future update. So I was able to blaze through about eight missions successfully and I definitely feel that MFI is the way to go with this game and has certainly been well implemented! Again, thank you to the developers for taking all of our requests and suggestions into consideration and very quickly incorporating into future updates! You are beyond cool in my book, and I will certainly be supporting any of your future endeavors. Incidentally, this game looks great on my 120 inch movie screen ###
I used to use a moga when I had a android device. What is the best one to use with the iPhone 6? I'm interested in getting a controller. I just want it to be a good one. Are there any good ones that hold the iPhone as I use it like when I had the old moga? Billy
Good to hear it works very well the MadCatz controller. I think Billy the best option if you want one to hold your iPhone is MadCatz CTRLi controllers(Micro/Standard). But if you are not worried about that, then Steel Series Stratus XL is also a good choice. Anyone of you have tried with a non extended gamepad(i.e without analog trigger) ? , u can use the d-pad to control the direction of the eagle. Remember all the control options(sensitivity/invert y) also work with MFI controllers. Best Regards, Ganesh
I've ordered the MadCatz CTRLi It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can't wait to play this game with that controller! Billy
It works wonders for me! Been a happy MFI maniac since Christmas time! Though I did go with the Micro and it also reviewed better than the standard.
I did hear though that the Micro struggles to fit in the iPhone6Plus,not so sure so don't hold me to it . Meanwhile to celebrate and promote our new patch I have posted some promo codes here, if you grab it please post your impressions here. Kind Regards, Ganesh
Having just been suckered into buying one of those really awful Gluten Free Games _insert animal or mythical beast_ Simulator games, this is a world apart from those joyless glitchfests. Infinitely more polished and more satisfying than all of them put together. Still getting into it, but this is a very fun find so far.
Ooops. Sorry. My mistake. That was not a bear. I watch it again and there was no bears, just some other brown animal
Thanks for the support, when you unlock higher levels you will notice the A.I a lot more. I think the brown thing was a Prarie Dog I have posted some more promo codes here if you use them write a small feedback/impression of the game here Kind Regards, Ganesh
Yeah thanks , saw your post on Afterpad forums. I have linked the help page back to this thread for it. Did anyone try the game on a non-extended gamepad I would like to know your impressions about it?. Also was the iCloud transition smooth for everybody?. Best Regards, Ganesh
Hello, We have some promo codes to give away especially if you have a MFI Controller All you need to do is either tweet about the game or share our Facebook page or tell us which MFI Controller you have. I will PM a code for you asap.
Hello, We are planning to add more predators/birds to the game. We would like to know what you guys prefer and what power they should have. Would you gamers be interested in mythical beasts? What would you like to see? Kind regards, Ganesh, Lead developer RGB Game Studios
Hi, I received a promo code and I'm here to give my feedback. This is also the second time I'm typing this because the TA servers chose the exact moment I submitted to die and delete my post. In the promo thread I put out the idea that Chase & Hunt could have the same appeal and audience as the "animal survival simulator" games that are popular with younger audiences. I still feel this is the case. Most "animal survival simulators" aren't particularly challenging despite mechanics such as hunger and fighting other predators. They're more for the exploratory experience of just being and animal and doing what it does, and I get that feeling from Chase & Hunt too. A survival mode could probably be implemented for Chase & Hunt with the same mechanics, and it kinda needs something new like that. My main criticism of Chase & Hunt is a lack of variety. It's true that there are multitudes of prey to hunt across several different areas, but it feels too similar since hunting each prey involves doing the same thing and the different modes don't really help. Particularly, why is Timed mode the same as Zen mode but with a timer counting down? What's the point? It's a complete waste. Sure you can only get upgrade feathers in timed mode, but you keep them if you fail. You could just collect upgrade feathers for 15 minutes at a time and pretend it's zen mode. Ideally, timed mode should either have different objectives than zen mode or be a "score attack" kind of mode where you instead try to get the best score in a given amount of time and not the other way around. Maybe have objectives be random in either timed or zen mode for variety so you're not just looking for the same things each run. Another approach would be to add more variety in the core gameplay, as in new and different approaches to hunting. In Chase & Hunt you're firmly locked only into flying, to the point where flying into the ground looks really awkward. "Animal survival simulators" involving birds usually let you land and walk when on the ground, but that's usually only there for immersion. This feature could be used for gameplay reasons in Chase & Hunt. Imagine being able to land on high ground/rocks or perch on trees. You would have a better vision mode while perched that lets you mark prey and discern what kind of prey they are, useful for "catch x prey" objectives. Then, boosting from a perch puts you into swooping mode that gives a bigger boost to speed and a bonus to catching prey. From the direction markers on the minimap I expected there to be an element of stealth in the direction you approach prey, but from what I can tell prey will notice you based on proximity. Having something like perch/swoop mechanic and a proper stealth system lets you have prey that can outrun/outmaneuver you, so you would have to rely on stealth and ambushing prey from the right direction/angle, lending more variety to the gameplay. I read somewhere that perch hunting is an actual hunting behavior in real eagles, so it's not just for video game stuff. In terms of features the dev suggested in this thread, having multiple playable birds sounds like a fantastic idea. They could have different starting stats and maybe specialize in hunting certain kinds of prey. To that end, I suggest having new prey types; flying prey and fish prey. The game already has beautiful bodies of water, why not populate it with hunt-able fish? They would be harder to see and catch due to being underwater, but give a higher bounty. Flying prey would similarly require you to follow them in three dimensional space. That would allow you to have player birds that specialize in catching different prey, and thus have different playstyles. Eagles specialize in large prey, a peregrine falcon can more easily catch flying prey such as smaller birds and something like a cormorant can more easily catch fish prey (maybe give them a unique diving animation to show this?). "Mythical beasts" sounds fun too, and is a staple in some other "animal simulator" games. It's a video game after all, who cares if your real eagle is hunting a chupacabra or whatever. In summary: overall solid and fun little game, but I feel it's a little light on the content. Please change timed mode, as it stands there is no point in it existing because it's exactly the same as zen mode. If it's just for collecting upgrade feathers, you could award them based on how well you do in a timed run instead.
My favorite mode is timed mode. Lol I don't play the other modes. I like the tense nature of having to get the requirements. Billy
I can understand that, I only dislike timed mode because it has the exact same requirements as zen mode. I want the two modes to at least have different requirements for each stage, or ideally have randomized requirements for zen mode.
I'm very interested in this game. I have cerebral palsy so can only play games which can be played one handed, is this possible with this game?
