Chartboost optimisation

    I want to talk about Chartboost optimisation.


    Is it worth it to knock out 80 percent of things to just include $4 installs?

    As all people like different stuff

    If you aren't using mediation which means having other providers as well as Chartboost then you will never optimise towards what you could be making if you are just trying to optimise Chartboost alone. We use and would recommend MoPub (even just having the Mopub marketplace combined with Chartboost will provide good uplift).

    In terms of optimising just Chartboost alone, make sure to optimise on eCPM and not just setting a price floor on your title. You can see what eCPMs individual titles are generating in your game(s) the advanced reporting. It is quite possible that lower CPI and CPC campaigns are actually generating disproportionately high revenue in your title (i.e. a high eCPM) because those campaigns and titles resonate with your particular audience. $4 CPI campaigns might be performing horribly in your title.

    Getting rid of lower eCPM titles will probably help create more space for the other titles to perform and drive more revenue. As a rule of thumb, we used to chop anything out that was less than $1 eCPM, but make sure you only make such decisions where there have been at least thousands of impressions as otherwise the sample will not be meaningful enough (tens of thousands of impressions would be preferable).

    What PikPok said :). Plus we recently added Chartboost video, with Vungle fill and its doing great.

    Try Ad Mediation

    You should try Appodeal.
    All top ad networks, DSP’s, and RTB exchanges (including MoPub, Chartboost, AdMob e.t.c.) compete for your traffic and the highest bidder wins. With a simple, 10-line SDK, integration is quick and simple, and optimisation thereafter is automatic thanks to user behaviour tracking and segmentation.

    We have also automatic blacklisting, low performing advertisers will be automatically blacklisted. It's really important for Chartboost and other CPI ad networks.

    I uncovered fraud in one of the ad networks !

    Less than a day after posting you have another user appear to say you are a scam. hmmmmm.....
