In one of the quests it says this text: tutorial use timey wimey. What is this? I love the art of this!
It's supposed to make it so keeps AFTER that one earn more money. But it's completely bogus. There are times it doesn't work at all (my iPad Pro iOS10.2) or times where the percentage is complete garbage (my iPad Air 2) where if it says 150% bonus then one of my floors goes from 120,000 to 120,020 even though the prior keep goes from 50% to 150%. How the heck is 20 more coins 100% of anything? The more I do the math on this game the more I hate it.
It looks like earning money from visiting critters will become much harder from now on. According to the latest update pushed out today, they're handing out more cash than they should which is not intended; it feels like the difficulty of the game ramped up looking at how difficult it is to earn post-update.
That part of the game made no sense anyway. The keep itself earned squat compared to tapping the animals. You could put the game down for 12 hours and come back to.....let's say One Trillion Dollars. But then you can tap one animal on the bottom and earn 20 Quadrillion....WTF? You could use gems to fast forward 24 hours and you would earn peanuts compared to tapping just one animal.
This bug still appears to be happening. I just downloaded the game today, and since I sped through time and watched the ad, no further quests have appeared and my Keeper is still level 1. (Wish I'd read this thread first!) Is the only fix to delete the game and start over?
I did start again, and I didn't watch the ad, and my Keeper gained levels. So that's definitely still a bug. After playing enough to build five Keeps, some general impressions: The game isn't working for me. It seems to be a mash-up between AdVenture Capitalist and Tiny Tower, but the various elements don't gel together. For example, choosing who staffs each shop, which is clearly imported from TT, has no teeth as a decision in CK because the game only gives you three options, you can't move people around later, and there's almost always an obvious best choice. (Or sometimes, two or even three best choices in which the only difference is the look of the character.) That's like asking me if I want a hit on the head or ten dollars. A player choice in which there's a clear best answer is no choice at all, it's just busywork. And there's so much unexplained! Off the top of my head: What's the point of the Keeps with various alignments? Should I keep using the one Keeper or swap to another one that's unlocked? What's the goal of the game? Each Keep barely seems to make money quicker than the last (unlike AdVenture Capitalist, where you can absolutely see how your angels (which are like CK's princes) make a difference) and it's just doing the same thing over and over, but with added choice regarding which shops you build. Although apart from the odd quest or achievement, the shops don't seem to matter much either. Like, ISOHaven, I've also noticed some moments where the maths just doesn't seem right. The graphics are indeed charming, but the gameplay just isn't there yet for me.
Building a Second Tower This game is really fun and all, but I'm stuck on the quest that asks to build a second tower. Does anybody know how I can do that? Thank you!
