If you enjoy match 3 games the full version of charmed is out and there is a lite version if you would like too try it first. It is a great game.
Looks like a nice Match 3. Possibly a bit pricey. There is a lite version as well if you are interested. APP Description Charmed is an innovative new take on the classic Match 3 concept popularized by games like Bejeweled, Zoo Keeper and Jewel Quest. Charmed is, however, also significantly different, because it is designed specifically for the amazing accelerometer features of the iPhone and iPod Touch. As you rotate the iPhone/iPod Touch, the controls rotate freely with you. Every 90 degrees, the Charms rotate too, and gravity changes to the new direction! When you make matches below the immovable purple blocks, you create empty spaces. Rotate the device and the Charms fall into the empty spaces, often making matches just by rotating! Your goal is to clear out all the Gold Tiles on each level before time runs out. You do this by making matches of 3 or more Charms over top of the Gold Tiles and making them disappear. Some of the Gold Tiles are in tricky places, so you'll have to plan your matches carefully. Take advantage of the powerful Snowflake Charms to aid you in your quest. Every time you make a match of 3 or more Snowflake Charms, you get 1 second or more of Freeze Time. Freeze Time temporarily stops the game timer, freezes gravity and Charm-matching, and allows you to swap any two adjacent Charms on the board without needing to make a match. This allows you to line up multiple matches of up to 9 Charms in a row for huge scores! It also makes it easier to get to some of those hard-to-reach Gold Tiles. You match regular charms to refill the time connecting down on the left. Matching snowflakes gives you freeze time which lets you move blocks without making matches. You can also rotate your device to change the gravity. I'm writing a bunch of impressions on games so I can't think of anything else I should mention. I've never been too fond of time limits on match 3 games... VeganTnT Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 19, 2008 4,491 3 0 Freelance Entertainment Analyst Orlando, FL #8 VeganTnT, Sep 18, 2009 Nope, just the one mode for now. But to be clear it's not a fast passed countdown at all. I didn't realize it was a timer until I got up to grab some food and it reached zero. As long as you are making matches you will hardly notice it, especially if your matches are more than 3 since those refill even more time. MindJuice Well-Known Member Sep 20, 2009 977 0 0 Vancouver, Canada http://www.mindjuice.net/charmed #9 MindJuice, Sep 20, 2009 VegantTNT, yes the early levels are much easier to finish without worrying about the timer. I think we will add a difficulty level to a future update to make it more challenging for players who live to feel a bit of pressure. For players like MidianGTX, an "endless/timerless" mode is also planned. If you are at all a fan of Bejeweled and similar games, Charmed brings a new dimension to the gameplay and I can honestly say that I play it every day. I wanted to play Charmed before, but it didn't exist, so I created it! But you don't have to take my word for it. Check out Charmed Lite and see for yourself. Also, if you have any ideas for improvements, we are more than happy to hear feedback! Thanks! All the menu options that one would expect are there and the feel of the game is slick and smooth. But the ability to change the gravity by rotating the screen.. WOW. That alone makes this a Bejeweled Killer IMO. There is only one timed game mode, I think at least one more would be better. Okay after playing for a but one will notice that the game bits are smaller than other 3 match style games. Not sure if that's a big deal or not but there are a lot of pieces on the board. The freeze power up which I think is the only power up is really cool. The more you "charge" it by making the freeze power up matches the longer it allows you to move bits around without making matches. So those that are stuck around the locks etc can eventually be moved. You can even line up a whole pile in a row for them to go boom when the freezing wears off... Game play is smooth, the touch reacts nicely to moving the pieces without any false moves. I don't know what to say. Bejeweled is off my wish list now. If I had a wish it would be for a few more cool power up options and a couple other game modes. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
