Is there some kind of faq? Played with first couples but still no posibility to select other couples.
No sweat, man. I've played enough to have had a hint that something was up with that character, so you haven't really ruined anything. I'm more concerned about others potentially posting bigger spoliers down the road. By the way. For people looking for hints and tips, there's a big forum for this game on Gamefaqs.com under the Iphone games section. This is not my site and I don't intend to advertise for it, accept that people might find it useful.
Chaos Rings got a shining review from Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/5528118/chaos-rings-review-ring-around-the-iphone?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+kotaku%2Ffull+%28Kotaku%29
Where are the 'long winding dungeons' that they speak of? All I've seen are some fairly short, extremely linear, pretty plain looking areas that players are forced to repeat over and over. SE obviously had the purse strings drawn tight for this one. Perhaps with their next outing they'll make some varied, interesting areas to explore, and introduce a battle system that isn't basically elemental rock-paper-scissors.
It's a very solid first attempt at an rpg on the ipod/phone/pad. It should leave lots of room for a big improvement in whatever they do next.
finally finsihed the game my guess is right that **SPOILER***** all pairs from different timespaces fight the Qualia though i didn't expected the last part of the battle **END OF SPOILER***** now i'll wait for the next SE RPG i hope it will have towns and more characters to join the party and modern battle system 3D cinematics would be really cool too, using the in-game graphics in cutscenes is good but would be better with cinematics addition of voice-overs would make it almost perfect
Finally, complete the game, I'm not playing it non-stop, but finished one story, take a break, and start another one. Now I believe I accomplished all achievement, hum... 108%? nice game, very nice game, and enjoy it very much ************** SPOILER: if u haven't finish tha game DONT SCROLL! ********************** screen captures below (I think I'm the last one, can't believe so many ppl still playing, haha~) ***************** SPOILER: u are almost there now ********************** ****************** SPOILER: are you sure you wanna continue ??! 18+ only ********************** ************ WARNING: Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.******************
Dude I beat the game, so those pics don't suprise me, but you're a jerk spoiling it for those who haven't completed it If I were you I would delete that post before you make people really angry!
Those of you viewing this thread avoid page 107 unless you want to see some bad spoilers. You're welcome
God, I really don't know how the f*** some ppl get 1k posts and don't know anything about dealing with story based GAMES in a GAMES forum. dissapointing...
*SPOILERS* I have to say, the Qualia battle was very very disappointing. Piu Piu was a much more difficult challenge though the fact that the story's final boss was so easy leaves a bad aftertaste. So much for being an overhyped big bad who could end the universe >_> Also, no replay value after beating Piu Piu unless SE decides to add more content Great game regardless of this though.
finished the game in total 26 hrs .. 108% achievement .. it's a fun game, but as most of FF game, the strength lies in the story .. and chaos ring does have an awesome story .. still, there are lots of improvement that can be made to this game .. it still feel as a watered down version of actual FF series (I'm referring to FF VII and above) .. and what's annoy me that I've been forced to play around the same areas for the story to progress .. also the basic paper-scissor battle system feel a bit simplify .. I felt that, although this is a good games, but it does not justified the higher price tag .. I know I shouldn't compare this game with Dungeon Hunter, but if your looking at content, I do think that they are more likely the same .. linear progression, good graphics, watered down rpg system, basic battle .. it's more like an eye candy .. what make chaos ring difference and better is it's complex story .. and that's all that great about it, else it just a mediocore tbs rpg game .. still, there aren't many game that manage to hook me up like this one .. this and space miner .. my wish for this game - add multiplayer arena - ability to play mini game (puzzle) independently - ability to re-play scenario - new content (play as Garrick maybe, on his journey to escape from the belly of grimreaper)?
Hmm... I dunno; I feel the rock/paper/scissors elemental structure was actually interesting here, and it made sure that spells never became obsolete, unlike most games where once you learn Ultima, thats all you ever use. The pair/single choice was very tactically interesting as well. I was playing the game always choosing level brackets far above me to keep it challenging, and when played that way the tactical potential of this battle system becomes apparent; many times I found myself pausing for almost a minute debating when to do pair or single actions, as the wrong choice would get me killed.
