I leveled up my characters to 100 (max), then you can beat the last "beast" :)

Can anyone help me with the candlestick puzzle in the fourth dungeon, the one that looks like this:

    XX_
    XXX
    _XX

The X's are the candlesticks, _ are blank tiles. Every other puzzle has been easy for me but this one has me stumped for some reason >_<

EDIT: nevermind, got it right after i posted

Ya, I edited my post with:

"Edit: hmmm. After reading some more posts it sounds like there's a different last boss after you beat the game as all four couples, so maybe that's the last boss that's challenging.

On the other hand, if it takes that long for the game to get challenging, that's too long.

Also, someone talked about leveling all the characters to level 80 to beat the last boss -- that's not done during their initial scenario, is it? I finished the first scenerio at level 30 and would find it really tedious to grind my characters all the way to level 80 by just replaying levels over and over."

But you must have read it before the edit.
Anyway, can you answer the question about leveling since you have beaten the final last boss? I'll probly start the second scenerio today, but I'm hoping you aren't expected to play each couple up to level 80 or 100 during their initial scenerio. If so, I may never beat the game because I'm not into grinding (which is why I've avoided JRPG's in the past.)

You don't have to grind all the way to 80 to actually finish the storyline. Level 50 or so should suffice for the end storyline boss, and you'll be leveling up as you make your way towards him.

I'm actually still on the third couple's "proof" part of the story. A lot of this is what I've gathered from the thread based on what other people have said and it's the general consensus.

OK, cool. Sounds like this game is going to take me longer than I thought. Thanks for the answer.

Holy crap... I finally completely finished the game... including the last level 100 boss for all characters.

You could beat the last boss at around level 60-ish, but it takes a lot of strategy and around 30 minutes of fighting for each pair of characters. You could not win the last battle by brute force unless you max up your level to 100, which I don't want to do.

I use a lot of Stressor, Mental Wall, and Moonlight Shadow to win the battle.

Level to 80 and you 2-3 shot him if you use your genes correctly.

When you can one shot level 100 mobs at level 50 it's too easy. When you can beat a level 100 secret boss at 80 in 2-3 turns it's too easy.

Keep in mind this is a game on a portable. Generally when you play games on portable devices you're not expected to spend a huge chunk of time on it. If they made the leveling around the same pace as the tv console versions then it'd detract from a lot of the gamers that want a faster pick up and go game.

    *SPOILER....SOMEWHAT?*
So interesting thing is, after playing CR I watched Knowing (with Nicholas Cage) not knowing (no pun intended) what to expect from the story. I found it amusing that the game and the movie have a similar overall plot. Although Knowing made me depressed after watching it, hopefully CR doesn't do the same.

But actually, the story of CR is 10 times better than the ridiculous one in Knowing. It's a stupid comedy with one of the worst endings ever (but some fantastic special effects).

That I do not know. Ask someone who has reached to that point.

Is this game really THAT good? Because if it is, I'll have to restrain myself from buying it until the summer so I can focus on schoolwork.

It's pretty darn good for a portable "console" rpg. I really like that it's not your cookie cutter story with good guys (you) and some evil bad guy trying to take over the world. But do not expect some full blown Final Fantasy either because it's not. If you want super complex material/junction/job system, this isn't for you. But if you want a fresh story and quick paced rpg, well, go watch some youtube videos or something.

Btw, Knowing isn't a comedy.....if it was, I don't recall one scene where they tried to get the audience to laugh. o_O

He has no life because he played a game for a few more hours than average players will? It honestly isn't that hard at all to get to level 100. And people who tell people they have no life because they would rather play a video game then go play football with a bunch of mentally retarded jocks are mean. I hate it when people say stuff like "No offense but..." Just by saying "Not to be mean" or "No offense" Doesn't excuse you being an asshole.

It's hard to answer your question without revealing a major spoiler to the storyline. Just keep playing and finish all four couples, then you will find out yourselves. And by the way, even that boss after the 4 couples is not the real final boss.
