Incorrect. Every turn-based has some additional element(s) that vary from other RPGs. The gene system in this one is a big part of that variant. Story is part of a game, but it isn't GAMEplay. If I wanted to play a game JUST for story, I just go get a damn book.

Lol... I think I'm too old.

Did you know that all those arguments:
    I'd go read a book
    Sry, I have a life
    Graphics aren't everything
    etc etc etc

Have been used more than a million times and have already lost validity over the countless discussions that include them? Yes, if you're solely in for the story you'd read a book but, being a game means making the story all much more interactive and interesting, amongst other things. Meaning, yes, 100% story 0% everything else = book. But this is clearly not the case, and analyzing as if it were is a huge bias.

A turn-based w/o story DOES get old fast, due to the fact that even if they have an innovative part in their game, that innovation gets old in the game itself, and that's where the other parts need to play a role in order to allow players to want to finish it. (Unless ofc, you, like some, enjoy the purity of grinding for no reason).

Okay so I've beaten the game once, man the arena battles were disappointing with all of them doing 0 damage to me & Musiea saying "I can't go on..." in the final battle even though she still had over 10,000HP left - seriously, wtf? Hopefully they'll patch the level problem with the main bosses because I was pretty underwhelmed to defeat them so easily

Am I meant to select Escher again & load the game up instead of selecting 'New' for the bonus content?

Let it be known that you do not ever grind in this game until the last big achievement where it helps to have one group around level 50 otherwise everyone else can be 35-40. The bosses don't scale so if you are looking for a challenge you have to hold back from leveling.it was designed that way. The final secret boss is level 100 but it is easily defeated at level 80.I agree it is slightly disapointing. There is no ruby weapon equivalent for the game sadly.

Tbh I only grinded when I had trouble with 1 boss battle but once I surpassed its level by nearly 10 everything else became really easy and without doing anymore grinding it became simpler over time although I never turned off random encounters since I was trying to fill up the genes

Also I started a new game with my old characters & beaten 6 of the sealed bosses. All without any problems even though they were 10 levels higher than me. Even if it wasn't meant to be a challenge it should be adjusted anyway for the hardcore ppl

I would like to know what I spoiled for you. Knowing what level is helpful to beat the game? Give me a break.

Would be nice if this forum had some spoiler tag features though, most of the time I can't be bothered changing the colour of my text yet at the same time don't want to spoil the puzzles for everyone who might be tempted to look at it

Yeah, you probably should. (possible endgame spoilers) The ending you have isn't the 'true' ending. To get the true ending, load up the game and you'll be back at the arena lobby, and then there'll be a new level just above the Original Door, go through that one and there'll be another dungeon to go through for the true ending.

    Spoiler alert!

The Agent is Escher's father :p

Escher: "I'll never join you! You killed my father!"
    Agent: "I am your father!"
Escher: "That's not true! It's impossible!"
Agent: "And Musiea is your sister!
Escher: "That's not true! That's... impropable?"
Agent: "And as a child, I built Piu-Piu!"
    Escher: "..Huh?"

I know many of you posting recently are new here, but could you stop hijacking this thread with pseudo-humourous spoiler comments? Yes, we can all agree that people that don't want their experience ruined by people flippantly giving away plot points are obviously whiners, but if you simply HAVE to make hilarious comments about it to each other, might I direct you to the PM function?

I've only made one 'humourous' spoiler comment, I'd hardly call that hijacking the thread when I've been on topic all the other times. Not everything has to be so serious

Hahahaha, the VERY last battle just made my week!!
Finished the game completely and I am sooooo satisfied with a huge grin in my face. Even if the boss fights (despite the sealed ones) are way too easy, I loved every single minute....

    Best App ever.

This is why there's a separate thread for game help and discussion. People who never finished the game yet but already bought it shouldn't even post here, unless it's about helping others decide whether or not to buy.
