How do you win the first arena battle? They are level 10/11 and I'm level 17 and I still lose! This is not my genre!
It's not highlighted. The Hint is the spoiler. I left space so people wouldn't just see it. I'm on my phone so can't do the white text thing.
Well.. about the puzzle... If you take a minute reading the instructions, it's EASY.....instead of taking 5 min trying to solve the VERY SIMPLE puzzle that should take you only like 30 seconds.. lol
3 genes * 6 skills max in each gene = 18 skills * 2 players = 36 skills. And no, unfortunately it doesnt affect anything other than the random encounters you find.
Peeps, I know the game is great, but I'd love if you could avoid telling us all that havent go the time to beat the game, what bosses you kill/what happens next. This is the only game with a storyline, let us all enjoy it.
Yeah, I know. I'm reading and it's like "And after you kill ...." and I'm just sitting here going "NOOOO!!!! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT OUT LOUD!!!!! WHY!!!!" Yeah, I only made it past the first arena fight (tring not to blow it for some). And I'm amazed at how great this game is. The story, while not as intricate as many, is still as great as those I've played on consoles. And I'm not even half way done. But to sum it up, please, PLEASE use white text when saying ANYTHING related to storyline AT ALL that could ruin it for someone who hasn't made any progress at all.
So has anyone figured out the actual use of the break meter yet? I get that it shows when I'm winning but there's at least one skill that sometimes resets the meter (or something, I never used it...) so there must be more of a reason to it than that...
I think I got it. Some skills are affected by the meter. For example, one of the skills that you get from the human warrior gene plate that can cancel the enemy's action when the meter is set to "Player", but when on "Enemy", it reduces the meter. Otherwise, I have a feeling that it helps boost stats by a bit when it's on your side. I feel like I do more damage and stuff has more of an effect when it's on Player. Hope that helped. I might be wrong, and if anyone has anything to add, please do so.
Loving this game! Just opened the third dungeon and much more to go. Then do it all again with multiple sets of different characters with different stories and there is loads of content here I'm a happy bunny )))
It doesn't affect who attacks first, since I think that's determined by the speed or luck stats (not sure which), but is affected by who attacks first, but then more effective or powerful attacks will chage the meter more than a weak normal attack would. And I guess I am right that it does help damage. They really should have covered it better in the tutorial. I think that could be my only gripe with the game. Other than that, it's amazing.
I know... I'm really getting annoyed with all these spoilers... I want to beat the game on my own, but I've already read some pretty big things that I probably wouldn't have seen coming. Thanks guys... Man, we didn't even get a spoiler alert that time...
