I'm really enjoyingthe game and have breezed through the first two dungeons, including the second dungeon with level 11-20 monsters. EXCEPT...the last dundeon 2 boss! The monsters and mid-dungeon boss are cake but the last (er...second) boss at the end of the second dundeon owns me. Help please?
i wish itunes had refund i bought this app called Scarface Last Stand.....I wish i never hit buy i thought the game was going to be like GTA or like the scarface on the console.....man was i wrong.
How do you all think this game would be recieved on the DS/PSP? Would it still be considered 'AWESOME', or just 'Meh'?
So I picked this up. I knew it was going to be pretty but I wasn't sure how the gameplay was going to be like. Quite fun, it keeps all the fun turn based battle elements intact, while throwing out the tedious things such as having to heal up after each battle. Turning off encounters is awesome too for an undisturbed exploration of the dungeon (gotta learn it from killing monsters). Overall, fun game and interesting storyline, I'm glad it's not your usual "big bad boss has spread darkness over the lands and a group of goody-two-shoes are out to take him down". Edit: As for how this will be received on the DS/PSP. This game resembles Soma Bringer somewhat on the DS in terms of world "exploration" with the 2D background and 3D characters. But the DS simply doesn't have enough pixels to do this game. The PSP community would most likely welcome it though as the system could potentially pull it off (not sure about the outdated 333mhz cpu on the psp).
TOTALLY LOVE IT TOO. Yeah, I can't believe I was missing all that. I don't believe so. My first playthrough I mostly kept all the random encounters on, and would choose mid-range enemy difficulty in the dungeons. So I'd say I leveled those characters up pretty typically. I didn't really have any problems with the arena fights. Then my second playthrough, I was kind of rushing to finish to see what happens. So I had random encounters turned off most the time and my characters were way lower levels than that of my first team. The first arena battle was cake, but the second one completely kicked my ass. So I had to spend some time replaying dungeons and leveling up some more before finally beating that second arena battle. So the way figure it is that the boss and arena battles are set at a predetermined level, and don't scale with you. If you spend gobs of time leveling up just for fun, you'll probably breeze through all these battles. But that's what I figure replaying the bosses the second time through is for, a tougher challenge. Also, loading your data after you've beat the game lets you play through all the dungeons and the true final battles. If you select new game instead, it actually starts a new game from the beginning, with the later dungeons locked and everything, but you still start out with pretty much all your gear and OZ. That wasn't quite clear to me at first.
I'm really, really loving this game so far. I just beat the first arena fight as Escher/Musiea and it was great. It was a good fight, but it felt a bit short. I have a couple of questions though. First, are there more spells other than the basic 3 element spells and abilities? Other than that, all I have is stuff like Bind, Berserk, and that other one that cancels moves. Also, do you get more space to place gene trays? Half the fun of Final Fantasy games was all the spells you equip, and the gene system (which I really like) seems to limit that a bit. And I think the fights may have become a bit underwhelming since I'm fighting on a lower difficulty level. I always set it to be right at my level, since I'm not exactly the best at this game. I've been playing with the 1-10 difficulty for the first two dungeons, then fought the first arena fight with my opponents being at level 10 and 11. Does the level you choose effect the arena opponents' levels?
Question, during battle, the area where your buffs would be, there's this "i" that's constantly there. What is that exactly?
That is the current element status. When you or an enemy use an elemental attack(or get an element placed on you). You will be of that element. Blue--->Aqua Red--->Blaze Green--->Gale Also Gale beat Aqua Aqua beats Blaze Blaze beats Gale Therefore use the elements to your advantage!
ATTENTION: After beating the Agent for the first time in Story mode, you go out the Original door, right? Well, after the scene, load up the game again and you'll see a "Bereshift Road" that you unlock. That's the next part of the story. And there might be three parts to the story after you beat the game with three characters. If you notice after you beat the Agent and then the Almighty, their two corresponding pictures will be in the bottom left hand corner when you load up the game that you beat them in. You'll also see a space for a THIRD picture/icon, which might mean that there's a third part to the game that you can unlock ONLY after beating the story with all four characters. This makes sense because all contestants are destined to beat the Qualia, so I guess you have to defeat the Executioner, Agent, and Almighty with all four to be able to unlock the FINAL stage. This is one badass game after I figured all this out.
SPOILER!!!! Puzzle Hint: You only slide the two blocks on the wall to your character's left. You can clear a path to the exit in three slides and three slides is all you are allowed on this puzzle (that's what the 3 in the upper left corner means).
