so does at the "end" of the games does it matter if you save or load? Does it just make the same thing happen *spoiler* where the fifth dungeon pops up and you have to defeat the almighty?
Just completed my first playthrough with Escher including the "Extended" ending clocking in at just over 6 hours. I am really excited about playing it with the rest because when you look at the achievements screen there is one huge event at the bottom that doesn't become unlocked until you beat it with all four pairs. Bring it on!
wait until after. it will take you 20-25 hours to beat the game with all 4 character sets and move on to the final piece. I've completed 3/4 so far.
It's not at all a pick-up-and-play game--so it takes a couple minutes to get into it, but once you are immersed, there is no escaping. So I would not advise getting this one just now
Help needed. I just finished run throughs with the Escher and Eluca story lines. I don't understand; how do you select the other two pairs? From the character select screen, it doesn't seem to allow me to select any characters other than escher and eluca. Edit: my character select screen doesn't look like the screenshot in the toucharcade review; I don't have arrows straddling the back button. I assumed I would get to choose the other two pairs once I finished the first two, but now I'm just confused.
I did. Although, looking at the 'scenarios' in the main menu, it seems there's more to do. Is there something special I needed to do other than beating the Agent and stepping through the original door?
A-ha. Thanks. Should have figured. Odd they make the secret level compulsory in order to gain access to the other pairs.
HOLY CRAP! Ok, so I've misjudged a few things in this game. I thought I had fully beaten the game with two couples, but I was wrong. I'm going to default to the white text spoiler filter now... Ok, so after defeating The Agent, you load your save game and there's a new dungeon called Bereshith Road. If you choose this dungeon, it takes you to an elevator sort of thing. Up on the 46th floor, you fight the grim reaper The Executioner. Now, if you're stupid like me, then once you defeated him you went back to the control panel that takes you back to the ground floor, thinking you're done. You're not done though! Instead of going to the control panel, walk towards the screen and you'll embark on the ACTUAL last dungeon. In here, you'll discover all the backstory about the Arka Arena and it's contestants than you could ever hope for. The random battles are filled with some pretty hard monsters too. As you make your way through the dungeon, you'll come across another boss fight against the TRUE Agent! After this, you'll play through some more dungeon and THEN you finally come across the FINAL boss of the game, The Almighty. Don't know who The Almighty is? Well that gets explained as you go through the dungeon. Needless to say, the story is FAR more interesting than I first thought. Also, you don't unlock the other two teams until you've beaten this final dungeon properly. Now I'm going to go back and REALLY beat the game with my first team as well, then I can start on the two newly unlocked teams. So, this may just have been me that missed all of this. I'm kind of an idiot. But just in case, I wanted to let everyone who's interested know what to do.
@BOARDUMB: Since you've gone through the game already, can you tell me if the arena fights scale with you? I've only just done the first arena fight (as Escher/Musiea) and it was incredibly easy and slightly disappointing (I think they were a good few levels below me as well), compared to the dungeon bosses. I'm tempted to go through future dungeons at lower levels to reduce the amount of XP I gain, but I hate the feeling of having to nerf myself because I want some challenge.
