I wish they had a lite version.. The last rpg I played was ff 1 way back in the day, I've also played fallout but not sure if that falls in the same catagory but I loved it.
I want to try but $13 is quite a bit for something I'm not sure if I am going to enjoy. The game looks awesome and the video was sweet, I just don't know if I actually like RPGs or not

The first one is easy, just slide the top right brick down and the top left one right, then down. You can then walk to the goal.

This price really feels CHEAP as soon as you are playing this game, believe me.
    It's a - I'm serious - steal.

Wait so does this game have like a giant world to explore like all the 2d rpg's? and do you have like special attacks and stuff, cause I didn't see any buttons on screen really.

The only way the price would bother me is if I don't like the game. I'm sure it's a great game. Is their anything else I could play (lite version) of another game that plays similar to this one.

Yes, it's like one of the Final Fantasy games on the PS2 :)
On the iPhone, there isn't anything else you can compare it with.

Wow, just finished the first storyline... needed some time to level up since the last battles weren't that easy. But WOW. One single storyline seems worth the money already. I feel highly satisfied...

But yeah, now lets start over with the next couple.

Btw, I really like the story, not that complex but highly entertaining.
What a fantastic game (sorry, if I repeat myself)...but the iPhone has its very own little milestone now.

    Impressions:
I'm not as impressed with this game as I thought I would be when I saw the videos and screenshots, though the game is still very impressive for an iPhone title, and is the #1 or #2 RPG title for this platform, definitely worth the price tag for its production value.
    Pros:
    - Gorgeous graphics (both characters and background) and character portraits
    - Epic orchestral soundtracks
    - Fluid English and good explanations for everything, they actually hired good translators probably (totally unlike Inotia or Zenonia lol where you have to ask around the forums to understand what they're talking about)
    - Interesting dialogue/story that is actually worth reading
    - Innovative "genes" system (skills) where equipped genes determine what skills you have
    Cons:
    - Very slow gameplay in battles as you can't skip any animations
    - Gets repetitive as mana never recovers, even if you level up (unless you use an item to warp home or use items, but since normal enemies are so easy, you don't want to waste items right?), so you're stuck with mostly using the melee attack for every single battle except the boss battle; this is very bothersome
    - Limited skill animations (mostly just a simple gesture, nothing fancy)
    - The game seems a bit artificial, but it's part of the story I guess; the entire story revolves around you somehow getting stuck in the chaos arena with a partner, and have to fight your way through "training levels" (in fact each world actually have level numbers attached to them) until you meet your opponent at the end; it's like an arcade dungeon crawler where you beat level 1-10 dungeon, then move to level 11-20 dungeon, and so on

Overall the only thing that I really wish they didn't implement is the never-recovering mana. That really killed the fun in using skills in battles.

There are items for that :)

There are items for everything, but it just doesn't feel right to rely on items. It's funny since in almost every other turn-based RPG, HP is the one that never recovers (but recovers upon level up), and mana recovers after the end of each battle or each turn.

This game is running awesome on my 1G IPod Touch, but it sure does eat the battery all up quick.

I feel the same here, I thought it is a little overrate by people, and before I buy the game I have very high expectation to it. After play for couple hours, I feel quite boring for the fighting & animation, no doubt it is most beautiful jrpg on the platform, but too repetitive; and also the story is very plain and almost none.
