Lol, Vovin's got my back You are definitely going through the same locations and with the same monsters. The puzzles are slightly different, and the treasure chests are always randomly generated, but everything else will pretty much be where you remember it. It hasn't felt like too much of the same, though. Possibly because I'm loving the battling so much and it has yet to get old. And it's more than just different text scenes, too. Certain events that happen during your first playthrough also happen when you play as your next team, but instead you get to hear their thoughts on what's transpiring from their perspective. It's really neat how everything connects. Plus, once you beat the game and discover what your team has been fighting for, you then have to turn around as one of the other teams and prevent your first team from meeting their goals, which can give you conflicting feelings. Suddenly, these two people who you've come to know and like are now your enemies. Despite the somewhat minimal storylines, you really get an emotional attachment to the characters. It's really interesting to play from the different point of views, I can't wait to see what happens once I've beaten the game with all four teams.
You mean all 41 of them? Sorry, no. Maybe just around 15, or so. I'm so dumb for being at work and not having time to read through them all. I hope there is place in your heart to forgive me?
Well... uhmmmm.... no. Ok, ok, I am just kidding - I will forgive you! Actually, I wrote my reply in a smiling way. I know that you are normally following the threads closely. But when you take a close look at the thread, each question about a special topic, like gameplay, content, gameplay, random encounters - and did I mention gameplay? - starts repeating every 5-6 pages (yeah, I know: "Welcome to TA!" ). Respect to Boardumb, he answers every question in the same calm way. My apologies, I could not resist - but no offense was intended. Btw., your last sentence wasn't meant sarcastic in any way, or?
I've never really gotten into any of Square Enix's games before but this looks pretty awesome. I'm also actually loving how they're starting to break the pricing barrier and that *most* people are okay with that. I mean come on, you have to admit this looks like a console game.
Another thing to mention: I started a game with both beginning pairs and was really impressed about the different background, the different storylines - these storylines start to weave together and the big secret behind the tournament and everything, after you finished the game with every pair, was a fantastic design idea. Each pair has a different combat style, which also adds to the replay value.
Thank the gods! I was afraid that you'd stay angry at me forebbur! Yeah, I like to skim through the threads for impressions and sometimes just to kill time. And I can understand how you forum addicts can get slightly annoyed seeing every question asked again and again. But then again, the only real way to get at those answers is reading through 5 or 6 pages at least and hoping the right one is on there! I once spent an hour or so reading through 20 pages of posts (slow reader? lol) and it felt like I wasted that hour of my life. So sometimes, it seems easier to just ask. I re-read your post and you wouldn't be able to tell! But your post did seem somewhat out-of-character. And thanks to BOARDUMB! I bought the game anyway, played about 40 minutes through it and it's great! I'm not sure if I'll make it through with all four parties, though. We'll see. (Never finished Zenonia, Across Ages, Final Fantasy, Monster RPG 2 or Inotia 2, either. )
you know what's with this game? it's not just a great game,it also has lots of features that we are all looking for in a game in the app store -saving anywhere except during battles -auto-save for interruptions by phone calls -re-orientation and lock orientation and even battery indicators! look how polished this game is ok,time for me to play again, see ya!
Ayes, it is quite hard to express feelings in body language through the internet. I also forgot to add a:
*laughs* He even hadn't time to update his sig. Right now he's drooling over CR. Well, what an addict. Could never happen to me.
Played up to the first ring and so far it's been a great experiance, not a huge fan of the dungeon like zones I have seen currently but they work and fit into the story, a great achievement for the iphone. Well worth the asking price and I have only played it for 2 hours!
Ugggggghhhhh!!! I'm at work and can't download this baby!! Must.Wait.7 hours!!! haha... Anyway, does anyone know how long this game is? I'm hoping for at least 10 hours.
Thaurin - may I shoot him, please? O.k., Vovin, breathe, calm down and answer nicely *cough, cough*: Dear Robert, the game will have - depending on your style of playing - enough content for 25 - 40 hours of gaming. The devs speak of 30+ hours. If you do a lot of random encounters, all archievements and hidden stuff, you're at 35 - 40 hours play time. Best Regards, Vovin P.S.: please don't hesitate to ask me about the four storylines and how much they differ.
Haha! Thanks for answering! Normally I read the entire thread but, I'm kinda on a deadline today! Thanks again! Now back to work!! Yay!!
Cool! I saw them after I posted my comment lol. Thanks for explaining it further for me. And I know you meant no offense.
