I just finished playing for an hour on my 2nd generation iPod touch, and the graphics, so far, have been very smooth.
I dont see the option to disable random encounters WHERE IS IT? Also,...there is one save slot per team ...everytime i save it overwrites it..OR IM DONIG SOMETHING WRONG?
Read the thread about turning random encounters off - it was explained three or four times! Just four pages back: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=52465&page=35 Yes, one team, one save slot. Yes, overwrites while saving. No, don't doing anything wrong. Btw., is your caps/lock broken?
You have to defeat some of the wolf characters until you earn the Dog Gene. Then equip the gene and after some more battling the option unlocks to disable them. It's not available right away but it shouldn't take long at all to get it. Exactly, one slot per team. You have to choose a different team to play as from the main menu, and starting a new game with them doesn't overwrite your current teams data. EDIT: beaten by Vovin
This is the most amazing mobile game I have ever played. (I don't have a PSP or DS and I'm not interested in one of them.) Square Enix did a PERFECT job on this one. It sucks me in as FF7 did... and it's perfectly suited for the iPhone. Just amazing!
As long as battling enemies doesn't get old to you, it could last forever But to unlock the best ending and beat everything in the game I'd say you're looking at 25-30 hours at least.
SlideToPlay speaks of 5h for single playthrough. TouchGen says "combined gamelife of at least 20 hours, and to get all achievements about 40 hours"
Yes. The devs said, playing it completely with all four teams, all archievements, all hidden secrets and bosses, it will last 35+ hours, maybe even 40+ hours. Normal gameplay will be at least 25 - 30 hours. When you take 8 hours for the first team and 5-6 hours for every other team, you are at 23-26 hours, just for the main storyline.
Can't say about the other games but compared with dungeon hunter and gangstar, this is a lot more playable especially when the weather option is turned off. It may not be the smoothest game but its really good. I also think this can be played even with the ipod touch 1st gen since this game is turn based. There are frame hiccups but nothing to be bothered about.
I'm kind of worried that the play-throughs with the different characters will be too much of the same. Do you go through the same environments, with the same monsters, etc.? What exactly is different, just the text cut-scenes? Anyone that's played through more than one that could enlighten us?
