DS and PSP, not ipod touch. Don't know if i'm gonna pick this one up, not a fan of FF games. (They're pretty much the same thing over again)
Wow wow wow just got through my first battle, and this has to be the most polished game i've ever played on the system well doen square
You'r making me want to buy it Oh yes, some questions i want to ask before actually buying the game. I know it's an RPG, but i just want to check, are there "Equipments"? And if you equip something, does it appear on your character? (Just wondering about the customization) Thanks!
Can anyone report on iPhone 3G performance? I'll probably wait for iPhone 4 and pick it up this summer if it's hardly playable on my 3G...
Screw waiting. If i had 3 more dollars i would buy this game right now. By the way they are working on a orginal final fatasy game for the iphone and ipod touch!!!!
So far I've only played 40 minutes worth, but my first impression is: oh. holy. crap. I've gone through the intro, fought my first battle, and solved my first puzzle. This is truly amazing. I'm going to sleep, but I can't wait to sink my teeth into this one.
Can anyone remark on how it looks 2x on iPad? I don't mind getting it just for iPhone, but I really like plating stuff on 2x. So much easier to see everything.
Add me to the crew of the impressed. Easily one of the most polished games on the system. After spending 2 hours with this game, Im wondering if I should finally go ahead and put my PSP up on Craigslist. The graphics, music, controls, story, and most of all replay value will probably make this game an, Editor's Choice addition on everyone's list. If you are wondering if you should spring for the $13, dont hesitate. This game plays like a $30 game on another system. They made it a point to make the game feel epic in scale while simulataneously keeping it mobile friendly by utilising a bite sized 'hub' system. The battle animations and spell animations are worth the cost alone for me. This is not a 'cell phone' game. I actually look forward to playing it when im not playing it! I havent felt like that in a very long time in my gaming experience.
Like all the other iPhone 3G users, I would like to know how it performs. Because if not so great, I rather wait till the 4G.
Its a double-edged sword here. As one would expect from 3D graphics, they get a fair bit more pixelated when scaled up. However, due to the larger image it is easier to distinguish faces, details, etc. Goes to show how much work went into every pixel of the presentation. Also, since much of the game is controlled via menus, it is a lot more comfortable to navigate on the iPad. The joystick for moving around environments is also better used on the iPad. All in all, it works great on the iPad when pixel-doubled. If you'd like to experience the cutscenes and such with the best-possible quality graphics you can always scale down for them and then go back to 2x.
to dispose of your psp properly.... Place in a enviromentelly safe bag bring it to nearest hazardest waste disposal site then use the largest gun you get legally use and blast it into a million pieces
Just bought. I hope it is as amazing as everyone is saying... $13 is a lot if it turns out to be a disappointment/not my kind of game. Not that I saying it is over-priced, but it would suck to not like it.
Game is pretty good One game of this quality isn't going to make me throw out my PSP when that handheld actually has lots of games of this quality. But that's just me.
This isn't a FF game. It is a completely separate IP that just happens to come from the company who makes FF (who also made Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, The World Ends With You, and makes the Dragon Quest franchise, The Mana franchise, The Kingdom Hearts franchise, The Star Ocean franchise, The Front Mission franchise and more. Please get your facts straight.
There's only two pairs you can play as. The other two aren't playable in game yet. Hopefully that'll be able to happen in a future update. EDIT: Actually, you CAN play as the other two pairs, just not in the beginning, am I right? If so, STP got their stuff wrong...
