Can't access iTunes here for even the NZ link. Anyone care to say how big of a file this puppy is? While await some more feedback on how it is before purchasing, I've also got to contemplate what I'd delete to put it on my iPod Touch (why on Earth did I think 8 GB was plenty?).

I've played TS and NFSU on my 1st gen iPod Touch and they both are smooth, responsive, and perfectly fine.
Where in the world did I mention FFXIII in my post? Are you too stupid to read or simply thinking that every single console/PC RPG is like FFXIII?
I think he was reacting to your description of console RPGs as having "lots of do in towns, nonlinear gameplay." Obviously, that's not true of a lot of console RPG games.
This game reminds me of Legend of Dragoon on PSX. An RPG needs to use it's Addition System. It is ingenious and I am surprised no one else has made anything like it. It made the game amazing (along with the awesome music).
