After watching the trailer of Chaos Rings II I think I'm beginning to realize what they're doing. Chaos Rings Omega is just an expansion of the first game to explain some of the things that were left to the imagination in the first game. The second game looks to be a larger step forward. The graphics looked a lot better, the environments appeared to be 3D and the character models seemed much less pixilated. So, based on this conclusion, it seems that Omega does exactly what it sets out to do and the second installment should bring a bit more to the table.
I just finished the game. The storytelling, the dialog, the characters are FAR superior to the original, and keeps you interested, shocked and emotional from beginning to end. BUT, everything else is nearly identical, with mildly enhanced graphics and design (and a drop in performance). So, if you care about the storyline, it's very much worth the price. If you're more interested in gameplay than storyline, then you might be up for a disappointment. My main interest is in the storyline, and I'd give that a 5/5.
beginning? not so much. it's as if mediavision tried to disappoint us by fooling us, using the first hour, into believing that the game will be absolutely the same... and suddenly barraging us with twists. though i agree with the rest of your statement
So how are the 'story dialogues' in omega? Few but lengthy, few and short but epic, common and lengthy or common and short? CR's kinda failed me the respect that they are quite scarcely spread apart but epic. Although the story me to play the game 'just for the next event' I couldn't help but feel unsatisfied at various times while roaming the maps.
Just got 100% in extra mode. I can basically answer anything. I still don't have all the genes or the super expensive armor/weapons, but I think those are just a matter of grinding.
The only reason I can think to do it is so that you get all the boost genes before you start the new characters if you really want to min/max the crap out of your characters(completely unnecessary).
