    Yup; I love that no encounter button. I wish every game had that!

    I used the mental magic to put up a barrier and that helped me kill it.

    How do you refresh your MP points?

    I'm new to this game and I noticed that if you use up MP, you don't get it back after battle like HP. Is there an item you use to gain the points back? I used up too many not even realizing that I still have to battle the boss.

    Help help and Thanks in advance!

    I remember doing that part of the game. I suggest if you aren't familar with that map area yet go to the very beggining where the two people were standing. And just keep a very close eye on where you have been or haven't been trying each portal. It's kinda a pain, especially with all the battle encounters you will get but that's what I did and I ended up finding it.

    Note that some areas you can walk into (when the screen fades and you are in a new area) they aren't that obvious so walk into the walls sometimes to make sure cause I was running around like a nut when nearby there was a really not obvious cave thing on the side of the wall and I walked into it and surely I found what I needed.

    Only way to gain it back is by going home. There might be a skill from a gene later in the game that does it for you, but am unsure about that.

    There are various items you can eat like plum, plum jam, last supper. Later in the game the human mage gene will have automatic mp recovery after every turn.

    Is it true that grinding on monsters who's level are higher than you will give a better chance obtaining genes?

    P.S. OMG, this game seems so easy(for now), I'm Lv9 and I'm grinding in Lv21~30 Ground no problem, got lots genes :)

    I never actually used it... so dunno, it for me it was good like, once, on my 4th playthrough, but by then I only saw it and said (woah this is shared) since I didnt have to use it cuz I had memorized the maps :p

    So do you know how they actually work? I have no idea if the map is for a different game or something as they make no sense at all. Right now I really need it since I'm stuck in the volcano part, and I need to find the second "puzzle" to take away the fissure thing, though I'm not sure what happens after that.

    As I see it, dunno if the entrances are coordinated, but it shows you the ways to.. well... everything.. dunno how well coordinated it is but it the connected dots are the rooms to which they lead, just that probably due to the fact that the map and the world are so different some measures need to be taken in order for maps to fit in squares :p

    They're definitely not in the same orientation. But the weird thing is that even the number of connections is different. The room I'm in clearly is a straight line (meaning one exit and one entrance), but the map shows like 3 connections... o.o';

    Ok. i just solved it a few minutes ago. god it took me forever. ok, first move the upper right box all the way down. then move the upper left box all the way right. now for your last move, move the box u just moved right down. and a pathway should be formed. do not move the box's in the middle. they are just a waste.

    It certainly appears to be the case; if enemies are at my level it takes maybe 5 battles to get a gene ability, but when I fight guys 20 levels above me I get 5 gene abilities in one battle!
