Is there a reason why the title never updates when you change them? Like i updated the title of this thread http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=271064&highlight=kill but it still shows the old title in the index and when you search for it
If you want a thread title changed just report the thread to the mods, normal forum members can't edit a thread title to prevent people doing things from like... Creating a thread with the title "Post in this thread if you're awesome" then changing it to "Post in this thread if you suck," etc.
you could give backers and/or spam police permission to edit own thread titles. i assume its a group permission. just a thought but i can understand your reasons for not letting everybody change them.
That's always been a moderator thing. Not just on TouchArcade, but basically every forum in existence.
I remember thats been the case for the forums iv been active on in the past but im probably wrong.. its been a while. anyways.. good to know.
You can only change a thread title for a few minutes after you've posted the thread, or until someone else makes a first post in it. Dunno what it is exactly. I had to change a title once after I made a game thread and it worked. Idk if this is still possible.
Changing Title of Threads Hi, I am supposed to ask that too. How to change? but when I saw the "go advanced" option button then I thought that would be the answer in editing the title. Personally, I always resort to that button whenever, I commit mistakes in the title but if it does not work for you and so we might be needing a moderator's assistance for that matter.
