I have made an iTunes account for free, by clicking some free application, and selecting "none" for payment method. Other (stupid) thing I did is that I selected "Croatia" for country because it was closest to Serbia (Serbia is not on iTunes). Now I want to change country to US mainly because if I get any promo code or gift card, to be able to use it and because US app database is bigger. I tried clicking on "Account" and "Change Country" but now I don't get "none" as payment method option. But there is a textbox on the same page in which you can enter gift card number. I do not have credit card and I'm not planing to own one just for paying few apps from AppStore. My question is: I want to change country on my iTunes account. Will I be able to do it AND if I get an US gift card and try to enter that code will it be accepted considering that my CURRENT country is Croatia? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.
Can't you just make a second account? Google "create a US iTunes account" and there are tutorials on how to get one without living there.
It's easier making new US account, but... Why Google? If I want US account I just need to select US while I'm making it. Right?
The tutorials tell you how to get the "none" option to appear... usually by following a promotion or entering a code for a free song download or something.
Yeah, if you want to switch it now, you need an american credit card or gift card to prove that you live here (or in your case, there). You'll have to create a totally new account by downloading any random free app.
You have to sign out of your current account, then download a random free app, then click on Create Account, and then select 'None'.
I know how to make NEW account, but I want to change country in my OLD account. Again: "Will I be able to do it AND if I get an US gift card and try to enter that code will it be accepted considering that my CURRENT country is Croatia?"
