It would actually be that your "allies" couldn't get hit. Once the enemy reaches you, your game ends. Maybe call this one "Shadow Walker."
Yes. For now. If players decide they want him to move based on the accelerometer, then we can add that in a future update. However, we played with this and felt that it actually took away from the game since it is challenging enough to angle the bow and get the right power to get a direct hit on the enemy.
I kind of liked the flash game Champion Archer's gameplay where you can move left, right, up, and down (if you could get a joystick as polished as A Quest of Knights Onrush, that would be amazing; accelerometer would be fine as long as it worked and didnt interrupt the gameplay) and you loose once the enemies reach the other side. I think it gave a whole other list of techniques you can use to win a battle, like rush the other side. But maybe it just all worked out greatly because of a keyboard and mouse.
The keyboard and mouse were helpful for the flash version. A joystick hinders the players shooting abilities. I wasn't aware that A Quest for Knights Onrush was released yet. Unless you are doing beta?
a quest of knights onrush is out and its free. Its "of" not "for" anyways, how do you aim/shoot in this game? Is it like bowman where you drag a line for both angle and power, or is it you click for the angle then hold down for power? That might make or break the joystick design.
I don't like Shadow Creeper. It makes your allies sound like the bad guys. But mostly I just wanted to tick off Justinth
Sorry to disappoint, but we cannot use Shadow Creeper. It is a name of an enemy from the Final Fantasy series.
We submit Champion Archer tomorrow for sure! I really hope you all enjoy it. It has been fun creating it and we look forward to implementing your suggestions along the way. New enemies and powers sounds fun to me!
