I hate it when that happens too but, hey, your money is going to a good cause and will do more to support future updates and games by this developer than the $0 folk are paying during this crazy blow out sale.

I need to see some developer add in the tag line, "While supplies last!" as if to imply that there is a finite number of these digital copies going out during one of these One Day Free Sale!

I tried to reduce the chances of that happening by coming on here early and letting people know, sorry. But you did buy yourself tons of amazing game play for under a buck!

How can you tell? You both buy them all!

    That's not "taste". That's an addiction. :D

I prefer the term "Sickness" as then I might be eligible for government funding for my addiction.

The federal government is already floating around the idea to not only pay for some folks' medication but to take it one step further and PAY THEM TO TAKE THEIR MEDS!

So since this will so obviously lead to the government buying some dopehead his medical marijuana for uhm, "A medical need to be high 24/7", when can I expect the government to buy my iPhone/iPad games for me? :D

Call it what you will. The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem. :p

The only problem is lack of funds, my obsessive daily game buying is a...life style choice.

I think I'll try to sneak in here and see what I can whip up. My OF name is Lacedolphin3 also. I'm easy to find.
Now let's see if I can catch up.

Thousands of downloads yesterday and this thread is so quiet. What does everyone think about the game? I'm getting great comments posted on the OpenFeint Spotlight app but silence here. A lot of people are reporting how surprised they are that the game is so much fun. One comment was "i thought this was going to be boring but it is actually pretty good". Let your voice be heard!

Are Pro and HD sharing OF Leaderboards? If so are they fair comparisons (this isn't a loaded question, perhaps it all equals out, I really don't know)?

They have different leaderboards since you can mass up much longer chains with all that extra screen space on the iPad.

I bet I could still beat someone head to head using my iPhone and them using their iPad. ;)

Practice really does make a huge difference in this game. You'll see your scores rising in no time the more you play. And once you unlock all the powerups, your score will go through the roof. And don't forget to enter to win a $25 iTunes GC if you score 120,000+ in Hyper Chain!

DL'd it for free, and agree that it is more fun than the similar chaining game that I have played. Mainly because of the different modes and difficulty levels, and variety of power-ups.

The quests are not much of a plus to me, as for the most part you I ignore them and get them done anyway. For example, a quest "get X number of total points in the game" is kind of a little silly. And the "get a really big chain" are similarly pointless -- I mean, you always get a big chain when its safe to do so.

Static mode is really, really easy, even on hard, but I guess its meant to be a more relaxing mode.

Conversely, the one collision and your dead mode is quite hard, even on normal. Unlike your competitor, there is no warning on the edge of the screen as something is emerging, so one doesnt have a lot of real estate to work with.

So...variety is good, but the timed modes are therefore what I'm mainly playing.
