For a legacy game like this to be so continually updated over the past 4 years since it's 2009 release is really a class act.
Thanks. Cavern is really a blast to play so I'm flattered to be featured in a statue. For a while I relentlessly submitted myself to whatever games came up for beta testing and it turns out there were some real gems with developers who paid attention to details and included some testers in their game.

I've had a lot of fun with this since I bought it recently for $1.99. I can easily give this my highest recommendation at full price or a buck. Either way it's a great experience and the dev still is actively tweaking it for the the better.

    Reminds me of Ultima IV

Just downloaded the game and started playing -- does look quite fun, reminds me a bit of Ultima IV!

Came here to recommend the game. One of my favourite ios games of all time. One of the few that stayed installed forever since purchase.

I'm interested in how this compares to Fargoal? I'll probably pick it up anyway to add to my ever growing rougelike collection :) Thanks for the sale.

Same reason I came here too. I don't do rogue style games normally but I love this to bits. Was my GOTY last year

This is the only game I have consistently played over and over again on iOS. The dev somehow managed to strike that perfect balance for a mobile game. Good pacing but not simple, good touch implementation without lousy virtual controls, and a mobile friendly save-and-quit anywhere option (Why do so many games not do that? This is a MOBILE platform, right?!)

Anyway, for a dollar this game is a steal so get it if you don't have it!

I jumped on this, explored a bit, and met the undead cow! Will explore some more this weekend, but it appears to be all that was promised!

So sorry to ask this but 100 Rogues or Cavern?

That's a tough question - personally I enjoyed Cavern more because I think the interface more user friend and some of it's features are really cool. Hidden rooms, friendly NPCs, random effect wells/altairs, well maintained internal leaderboards, three unique classes, etc. However 100 Rogues bas a lot going for it too - tons of classes, etc.

Cavern is one of my favorite iOS games; easily worth $0.99.
It is really cool how you can run into other players like that in Cavern.

Ok, I've decided. I'll get Cavern first then 100 Rogues next time. Thanks, man!
