Yeah I thought it was a new Cave shoot em up so unhappy it's not!

The screenshots show a potentially good shoot em up. But not keen on the graphics, wish simple graphics like Scramble could be used or vector graphics

But top marks ins horizontal shoot em up, new more of these

Hi psj3809 sorry you thought new cave game.

Sorry to hear you don't like the graphics I understand it's a niche Market so not everyone is going to like it.
Thanks I agree a few more of this type of game would be great as the standards would get raised.

hi guys here is my itunes description to give you some background.

Remember Cave Shooter 2 will be released by the end of December and a video of game play is on its way over the next few days.

    Description:

Its a dark time in the universe since humans found out they were not alone.
The Evil Robot Race The Badrobatans reared their ugly heads in the late 24th century.
Humans had just accomplished interstellar flight and were out exploring the universe.
The Badrobatans thrive by boring deep caves through planet crusts and mining the precious metals, this in turn destroys planets. They use these metals to build more Badrobatans and continue their race.
The Badrobatans do not care if there is life on the planet, they will drill and mine till the planets explode.

    They Must be stopped.

This is where you step in.

The idea of cave shooter 2 is to navigate your ship through different worlds and kill the giant Badrobatans deep within.

You have to avoid contact with the walls and shoot your way through the laser barriers.
At the end of each level it all a-culminates into a showdown against an evil alien Badrobatan.

    highlights:
    32 levels spanning 4 worlds.
    32 unique bosses to defeat.
    Great looking Graphics.
    No 2 levels are alike.
    Unique Cave Flyer GamePlay.
3 star System across each level.
Tilt controls or virtual joystick available.
33 game center achievements and leader boards
    Detailed Player statistics.
    Huge Replay Value.

I think I recognise that spaceship..

+1 for reminding me of my favorite shooter of all time (after Assault Squadron iPhone, of course).

There's another version of the ship from Project X (Team 17, Amiga) that looks closer to yours, but it's impossible to find a screenshot of :)

Watching the video it has potential but there didnt seem much to shoot, the caverns etc seemed cool going through them (then hitting a forcefield type wall for it to disappear), but i dont see lots of aliens to kill along the way ? Also the end of level baddie, those 3 bars what are those as i thought they were lasers at first, is that the health of each of the sections of the end of level baddie?

Have you got another video you could share ? Just want to see if theres lots of things to shoot in the various caverns

Seems like you fly through each cavern hitting forcefields, then you get the huge enemy at the end. Just a bit worried as there doesnt seem to be aliens flying through the caves ? Just forcefields

hi their yes you have hit the nail on the head, the only things you shoot are the laser walls as you fly through the caves and the end boss of each level.

The main objective is not to hit the walls shoot through the laser walls and kill the boss at the end. This becomes quite challenging the further through the game you go. This game is more of an endless runner survive game with a boss at the end of each level. This is not to say that i won't introduce baddies along the way in future updates but after you play this you will release that it does not need them right now and is a lot of fun to play.

yes the bars next to the lasers and bosses are heath bars to show you how many more hits are needed to kill them.

    thanks for your input. colyn

Ahhh okay thanks for letting me know.

If you do an update or sequel i would for sure add lots of alien patterns etc throughout the caves. Dont get me wrong i'm not a programmer so i'm sure this isnt super easy just to add them BUT in my view it'll make your game so much better

Think iOS is crying out for any decent Scramble type clones, worth watching a video of Scramble on youtube to see what i mean. Aliens to hit, bombs to fire to hit items on the cavern floor.

But i do think in a game like this having different aliens to shoot throughout the level before you get to the end is vital.

hi thanks for your feedback but i think your trying to shoe horn Cave Shooter 2 into the shoot-em-up erra and i feel its not that type of game, perhaps if you think of jet pack joyride that has walls instead of zappers to crash into and cross that with 1 bit ninjas scramble to get to the end of the level and then add a boss at the end and you have Cave Shooter 2 all wrapped up in a space ship flying wrapper.

i really appreciate your feedback tho thanks colyn

p.s why don't you have a go at the competition to win a free early version then you could give it a try for free and give me some feedback after you played. see link a few posts above
