It's pretty tricky to get the curves right but I like that, definitely 100% skill based, you really got to learn the subtleties of the handling to make it round smoothly. The middle ship is really slippery Looks really nice in motion, I love the stylised graphics. Tilt controls work well, precise around the centre but you can really fling it quickly if you need to get round the hairpins. Will post more imps when I play some more into it.... As I wrote in the promo codes thread I was lucky enough to grab one and promised to post some impressions after I give it a try so here I am. First of all, I was browsing through new releases this morning and putting some of games to my wishlist and subscribing to interesting threads as always. I usually wait couple of hours for gameplay videos or first impressions and start purchasing around lunch. Well, I was pretty sure to buy this one today because it looks just great from the screenshots. I mean, the whole presentation is eye-catching. The game's really polished, everything looks amazing. I love the tutorial, even the credits, it's really original and interesting. For the gameplay itself, I have to admit I'm not a fan of tilt controls. But in this game it just feels natural somehow. With touch options for boost and accelerate there's probably no space for touch steering and even if there was it wouldn't feel as natural as it feels now I guess. It's so smooth (the description claims it runs in 60 fps and I believe it), I'm really impressed. Interesting thing is to have separate leaderboards for 3 different ships but I guess it just fair as it is. I didn't try the second ship yet because I don't feel I'm "skilled" already as it says in the description but after I'll unlock all the easy tracks I'll try. Well, long story short, this game's amazing. I highly recommend to try, it's a lot of fun. I'll definitely buy a copy as a gift for someone just to support the developer. This game deserves an attention, I hope for a good reviews in incoming days, featured on AppStore and wish you good luck with the sales. Well done! jazzaplot Member Jan 24, 2015 14 0 0 Artist & Game Developer at Umber Games Finland #11 jazzaplot, Feb 12, 2015 Thank you macplash, I really love your detailed insight! Yes, the Skilled ship might be a bit tricky to handle at the start. Just keep pressing the gas and be careful with the boost. With the Expert ship things will get really hectic. And fast. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #12 somedumbgamer, Feb 12, 2015 Looks really cool, but being tilt only, I think I'll watch list this and see if non-tilt controls are implemented in an update. On the main menu, what is the arrow icon for? jazzaplot Member Jan 24, 2015 14 0 0 Artist & Game Developer at Umber Games Finland #16 jazzaplot, Feb 12, 2015 That is great to hear, macplash and H4nd0fg0d! We believe that tough games give the players more satisfying feeling once they start to master the game. Sometimes it might need some patience though. The arrow icon on the main menu turns on/off the similar looking "next track/best time" ghost spaceship. (If you cross the finish line before the ghost, you either unlock the next track or fly your best lap time so far) Thank you for the nice video, touchy85.
