By the way guys, I've downloaded the sounds pack and what does it include and do? Does it include sfx when opening and closing doors? Does it include music that plays only at specific events? Do I have to do magical stuff on the settings? P.S My character on the PC is having the hardest of time surviving with RNG while my IOS character is like living the life of good RNG with so many cars, fuel, food and water.
I've had good RNG and downright EVIL RNG on both. iOS seems to give me the "starting shelter basement has baddies in it" more often. YMMV LOVING this port!
The ironic thing is that my IOS character has albeit more character creation points than my PC character, since I forgot to increase it. P.S Even more bad RNG for my PC character is that I broke 2...2!! Engine of a motorcycle because I overheated it. P.S.S I savescumed albeit more in my IOS character than in the PC
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing in a vehicle. Still learning, and haven't gotten to those just yet.
Yeh when I drive I go like side to side. The vehicle doesn't go straight down or straight up or whatever. I make it shimy everywhere. I use the < and > arrows. Not sure if that's normally how it's done or not. Gets me from A to B but Yeh, with a shimmy. up and down arrows seem to set the speed, while left and right seem to make it move as well as steer. Just keep an eye on the speed you do. (200km/hr!!! How the heck did I get to that!?). Anyway, that's advise from someone that also doesn't know what they're doing.
Set the speed with up and down, then wait a turn by tapping the screen or push "." to accelerate towards this speed. No swerving required. It works a little differently with left and right, which both changes your direction and forces a turn, rather than in two steps like above. You also don't really need to go above 50-60 mph, unless of course you're near death and don't care anymore.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Driving Guide Who Is Just Good At The Basics Of Driving Vehicle controls in a nutshell is just set your desired x km/mile per hour and press [.] or by just simply tapping on the screen for the vehicle to move. However, it isn't as easy as that...if you have a low driving skills, you are more likely to "fumble with the controls" and fumbling with the controls means that you either go left or right unintentionally and are the most RNG filled bad thing you will ever face. Early on that is. Vehicles are very good at killing massive hordes of zombies with the right vehicle that is, just go full speed and rammed those zeds to kingdom of come...and are also customizable to your hearts desire, just remember to scavenge from other vehicles and add it into yours. Vehicles are also a good way of transporting goods by just [d]dropping it onto anywhere inside of the vehicle, just know that vehicles have limits on the volume of stuff you can put into it by [e]examining it. Another cool thing is that you can release the controls by [^] it so that you can you know...do other stuff. (For me I just do drive-by on the zeds and looking like a gangsta...with a rifle) One other cool fact is that you can [G]grab your vehicle, this is essential if you have a shopping cart (which you can find in or outside a grocery store or any logical place to put a shopping cart) or a broke down motorcycle (like mine) and carry it all the way back home. By the way, don't be ashame that you turn left and right to move the vehicle....I to did that early on and thought it was the stupidest thing ever. Also one last thing....if never go to fast (indicated by the speed of your vehicle counter turning red) because it can literally destroy your engine...had this happened to 2 of my motorcycles. Also, stay away from bushes since it will destroy your precious headlight and possibly other important stuff. If you have any questions...ASK MORE! P.S Don't ever smash your fully fueled with something like a steel jerrycan since...well, it didn't go so well to my survivor as he dies in a flaming ball of explosions which let to me being...crying albeit, thankfully he is kinda overdue P.S.S smash a fridge to get a rubber hose to siphon gas from other vehicles to yours. P.S.S.S foot pedal + shopping cart = Your mobile raid cart to ease travel and all your raiding needs, haven't made one yet but I'll find something to show you guys the blueprints.
Dear cliffs, For this holiday season, I wish for Lua's for no zombie revivication because frankly, I hate it P.S Went through a battle of complete stupidity, savescumming, luck, pain, more pain, crying, testing and fun P.S.S If you really want to get more detail...I went to a regional school for some tasty book, ran over some 20 children but to be shocked when I got out of the vehicle since...well the hulk was waiting for his revenge, at the same time however, game decides to autosave and screw me over for a battle of luck and persistency. In the end, I ran a way and the zeds screw themselves over by "accidentally" bursting a fuel tank that inevitably burned the whole school and them along with it. Got away to savescum another day.
There are more than 400 sound effects in the sound pack, including door opening/closing, footsteps, ambient, window breaking( my favorite ), melee weapons, gun, rifle...etc. I should make a short video about the content in the sound pack, after the the support for Bluetooth keyboard is done.
Darn, so it's basically the "Ambient Sound Mod". Roger that! Now I have to redownload the sound pack for the 3rd time since it takes a very long time with my internet and I never get to see it finish to 100% with my eyes. Since I always fall asleep to wait for it. By the way cliffs, I would prefer for an extra option "option" so that I can you know, change the size of the button, sensitivity, changing keybinding, removing the tutorials mini videos and more stuff. This "option" should be place in the settings just like what Nethack did. P.S I would like more than anything is if you could give me the ability to disable zeds reviving and possibly if you can, fixing the Dino mod so that I can spawn T-Rex and sh*t. P.S.S This port is absolutely great and well done with not many bugs and crashes so far with the correct option applied that is. P.S.S.S If you can't do any of the above, can you increase the speed of which the game load to get into the menu screen.
Cliffs, this is so good I've given zero attention to any new release since, and today I'm deleting about 50GB of games I won't be needing for the forseeable future. CDA is so deep that nothing else seems worth playing. Even the YASDs are hilarious Thanks!
Holy sh*t, just came back after killing 50+ zombies from a megastore with my makeshift "deathmobile ". Killed 3 hulks, 2 zombie master, 2 bloats, 3 corrosive zombie and who knows what more. My deathmobile I call "Elf" since it was originally a hippie van. The only thing I did to that van is add a V8 engine, installed a spike, 2 spiked ram and reinforce the front of the van with reinforce windshields and spiked plating for some good menacing with spikes. Amazingly, only the spike got like destroyed and others were intact thankfully. The amazing thing is that I am running all of this on the IPad 2 which greatly shows that this is a good port. I was genuinely scared whether my device could actually handle the POWER! I am really ecstatic that this happened and I will savescum like the scum I am to make it alive! P.S BEEP BEEP MOFO'S P.S.S MY REVENGE AGAINST THE HULKS IS COMPLETE!
Currently looting like mad for firearms training manuals, so my blackbelt can learn to deal with specialized zeds. Not gonna charge any of the spitters again, lol.
I've read a guide from hear about how to start out from day one. Basically involves going to the windows and ripping down the curtains for sheet, and string, and going to the cabinets and smashing them for metal, to then make a couple of items. Is there anything else you pro's do? And how do you not get sick of doing this over and over again after you die because it seems very slow and cumbersome. Just curious to know what is everyone's go to "get up and running asap start out actions". Other than that, this is great albeit overwhelming for a noob as it's almost like writing code in a way: everything can basically only be done with the right commands.
You only need a makeshift crowbar and a makeshift blade, really. Anything else you can snag on the run, IMO. All depends on the RNG gods First thing i always do is check out the shelter windows and poke in the basement. If it's chilly out, you'll want that stupid FEMA jacket on
Basically, you MUST have/craft a makeshift crowbar or else your dead from the get go quite easily since its your only decent weapon and an extremely important tool to break in into houses stealthily since your character sucks early on (like any character in any game in this genre) [Unless of course, you cheated or playing a specific playthrough i.e. Security guard where you have a gun] After acquiring your crowbar, loot some places especially clothing stores, military surplus and hardware stores to find that much needed backpack to carry even more stuff. Since, well you don't have much stuff to carry to begin with. After that, you can basically do anything you like, after having enough supplies of food and water that is. But if really want guidance...find books and read them to upgrade your skills especially mechanic since it is a important skill to explore and maybe thrive in this cruel and RNG-filled world. Find a working vehicle, raid the garage to get acethelyne torch, wrench, hacksaw and jack to start upgrading your future love...the DEATHMOBILE Find a good place to make a place preferably near a water source (i.e. River) and be albeit risky and explore this vast world and try to loot the big places.* If you keep dieing early on...don't worry almost everyone starts using that early strat and your bound to get killed until you get to that sweet spot where you live and become a decent badass. *Prepare your ass...because the hulk is ALWAYS COMING! P.S This is just a very basic guide to live your cruel first day, if you want more specific and detailed guide or a specific category to emphasize, ask P.S.S I got really lucky in my iOS character to become who I really become. Thanks to the RNG gods P.S.S.S I save savescum
