All hail Shaun!Shaun!Shaun!Shaun! No,seriously, though.I just want more people to see, play and like this game so that we'll be getting more console quality games like this ported on iOS.
Hello there. If you have a Bluetooth keyboard and want to test the next version. You can join the TestFlight beta testing here http://www.dancingbottle.com/?page_id=125. Invitation will be sent once it is approved. Thanks!
Yeah sorry about that, Brett, still working on it. I had a lot of work to catch up on after the holiday break, both writing-wise and with my day job. Should be up in a few days. Probably.
FYI there is a patch in the works. Beta is going well. Pretty much any iOS-specific quirks are about to disappear
I wasn't going to ask, but since the game is being patched I'll go ahead and ask. Is it possible to lower the iOS requirements to iOS 7? I have a iPad mini stuck at iOS 7 and I'd love to play CDDA on it. I have it installed on my iPhone 6, but the screen is too small to really see the game.
The update is out now (as of yesterday Aus time), unless you're all taking about a different update. I tested a BT keyboard on the release build, on 8.4.1 device, and I can't hold down a key to repeat action such as movement. I understand that this is might be limitation iOS and BT keyboards, as I remember a similar discussion in the Brogue thread, but maybe things have changed since iOS 9? It really is a sad state of affairs if it hasn't. It really explains why professional work on iOS is still considered a joke and more people are flocking to Surface Pros.
Must be a different one, because I'm having no problems getting repeated action by holding down keys. Check your key repeat settings in Settings>general>accesibility>keyboard
The recently released update version( 1.12.1 ) is identical to the beta version. So it seems that it is dependent to the hardware. But I'll try to get more to test.
I'll try to build with iOS 7 support and see if it is possible without modifying the current code base.
I don't seem to have that option under accessibility. Unless it only appears when a BT keyboard is paired. Good to hear that it's possible though. I don't think it's my hardware because I'm using an Apple BT keyboard. Must be because my iPhone 6 is on 8.4.1. Will try with my iPad when I get home as its on 9.2
