Thank you so much! We just wanted to make the best game we could. Much too late, but that is a great name for a spin off sequel! Not entirely. The only similarities is that they both are tap controls. Cat Quest has a few operations that are different from Slashy Hero.
Can you elaborate on the controls. By tap controls do you mean tap to walk somewhere, tap to walk somewhere else, or is it more like a virtual joystick? Hope it's the first because virtual joystick when an iPad is at a 45 degree angle on a desk is tiring. Mifi controller support? Thanks, looking forward to the release.
Whats happening??!!# Steam now says that the game will be released on the 9th, not the 8th. Hope that doesn't mean the iOS release has been put back a day.....I simply wont survive that long! #
Spanish Hello, devs! I'm so hype about your game but I have a question... do you have plans to add Spanish language support? Greetings.
Maybe in Slashy Hero 2. Almost here! It's the first. Tap to walk somewhere etc. We are aware of Mifi controllers, and we're considering it as a possible update in the future. It depends on where you are in the world. It should be 8th Aug GMT, which might be the 9th depending on where you live(because of the time difference). It unlocks on Steam in roughly 16 hours. It might be the same issue with the iOS release as well, but we've set it to 10th August GMT+8, which seems like it will release on exactly August 10th for you. Yes, the game will come with Spanish support right at launch!
Getting some nice reviews on PC, including a 9/10 from Digitally Downloaded. Wish we didnt have to wait another two days, but those scores convinced me to wait over getting Strike Team Hydra, which Ill get eventually.
If anybody here buys the Steam version, could you report on whether or not it can be run without the Steam client? (e.g. ripping out steamapi.dll or whatever.) Will probably double dip if the PC version is DRM-free.
iOS 11 has been wrecking havoc on my phone for the past week (yeah, I know, my fault for trying it). Making it largely useless especially for gaming. But todays public beta release finally seems to have fixed my problem. So Im chomping at the bit for a new game! Can we time warp to the release of this now? Dying to give it a go and patience is not my strength.
read some reviews and some user reviews on steam saying this game is really short and can be finished within a couple hours
Whew, was busy with the Steam launch! Barely slept! It's out now on Steam! Coming out on iOS on the 10th. We can't speak for everyone, but based on our own experiences(we've had to play the game multiple times through to test for bugs). It always took us around 10+ hours to complete, and we suspect an average player will take around that time too. There's a lot of content and secrets to find, and many side quests to do. Of course, this will vary from player to player based on your skill level too.
