I've been out of the loop for some time...

Hi everybody,

I've been out of the loop for a looong time now, but rediscovered CP last year when the bonus pack came. In the old times I used to be in the top 10, but due to a lot of reasons I couldn't keep that position - today I have 65049 points in Pack One and 66820 in Pack Two. I'm quite OK with Pack One, because even if I am more than 1300 point behind the leader I think I could pick up most of them with some effort. But Pack Two confuses me. I'm more than 3000 points behind the leader and I have no idea what so ever where to find them. I know about the glitches we used in Pack One, and I play the ball through walls and outside the box. But please, 3000 points!
Could somebody help me? In the old times we had a sheet that showed the best points in each level. Do anybody have a sheet like that. In that case I could at least start to consentrate on the levels that has to have some serious short cuts.

Anymore hints for the loyal stragglers?

Hi all, I have recently “rediscovered” my addiction to Cat Physics and am writing in hope that a few more clues (or screenshots) could be provided for Bonus Pack 2? I am still 500 off the top score so still have a long way to go. I have enjoyed reading this forum many times and the ongoing hints and tips have made the journey a lot of fun.

There was a recent request from “Cowboy.Henk” for more help with Level 65 (“Half A Tree”). Along with that, I would really appreciate it if someone could provide a bit more info regarding the arrow positioning with Level 85 (“Open Up”) – in particular the type (“O’clock”) and position (location) of the arrow required to force through the second trap door.

What scores are you aiming for?
65-550 and 85-591 here, but i have doubts that's the scores you are looking for #

 

Am definitely keen to get within 5 points of the known top scores. Levels 65 and 85 are my worst scores (biggest diff from top). Currently I have 529 (550) and 578 (602). Achieving better scores on those would bring my average difference across all levels to around 4 points per level...

I do have a few other levels that I’m struggling with but I thought I would work on my worst ones first to make the biggest gains.

 

Best in level 65 is 555. Are you going below all the windmills?
Which door are you opening in level 85?

 

With Level 65 I currently go over the bottom RH spinner and under all the others. To achieve this I use 12 o’clock, then 10 o’clock to lightly deflect off the bottom of the top RH spinner then 2 o’clock to finish).

With Level 85 I glitch the first trapdoor but am struggling to determine what arrow (and exact location) to force through the second trap door.

65: for 550 you have to go below all spinners.
Arrow order is the same as yours.

 

Thank you! … and am happy to say (after many hours of trial and error) that your hint has helped – Phew and YAY! I have managed to get 553. If it helps anyone else out there, I can confirm that the level has no secret or hidden pathways; and that the score is achieved by not deflecting off the far left or RHS walls.

Happy to post a screenshot if required.

Now onto level 85! Any chance with a bit more info re the “forcing” arrow?

I was playing level 65 a few hours within the last days, too. But i didn't manage to improve the 550. Did you get the 553 on a first attempt or did you have to restart a shot directly after shooting for the first time?

For level 85 as said i cannot help you to get 600+. I got 588 with the following arrow order:
10,
12(deflecting at door1),
10,12,9 (breaking through door2)
4

For 591 I used
10
10,12 (at door 1)
9, 12 (door 2)
4

I have to move the 2nd 10-arrow to open the 1st door before every single attempt.

Yes 553 on the 1st shot - no need to restart the shot.
The 12 arrow needs to be partly below the ground. The 10 arrow should cover most of the RHS of the tip of the rock, with only a fraction of the arrow showing on the RHS so that the 12 can hit it. The top of the 2 o'clock arrow needs to be level with the top lip on the LHS of rock so that the ball can rollover it before dropping off the edge and hitting it. Definitely higher points are obtained, the closer the 2 arrow is placed to the white cat for the deflection off the LH corner edge. [Easier said than do though.] Hope that makes sense??
