Donut Games, can you verify if the score is legitimate or fake for the top score on Cat Physics for "numberfive" on the donut games high score list. Anyone else have any info on this?

Why? There are several levels where I don't think we have the max yet. These are all PITA levels, unfortunately. And numberfive is a player who started about when I did. Nice chap. He or one of his buddies was #1 before, he gave mikeg some good motivation...
I understand your good nature of giving the benefit of the doubt, but because of the way it popped up out of no where it would be nice to see some verification. Numberfive is not on GameCenter and as Cyan pointed out he last had a score of a couple thousand points less a few months ago. If it is legitimate then someone, maybe Dozzor, has been sharing and helping him with screens and they could verify it. I don't believe you can get to the top as an island, all alone... so someone should know something. There is a hack going on out there as I was sent a couple screens last night of bogus CP scores from someone who thought it was faked.
Well since numberfive had a legit score a couple months ago, then surely s/he couldn't have use that hack? Since your screen suggests that the hacked score could be achieved without even going through all the levels.
The screen just shows that CP can be hacked. You can hack it at any point to input your score whether you have gone through the levels or not. It does not disprove or prove that numberfive hacked the game. I could jailbreak tomorrow and add three more points to my score. Remember, this screen is not from numberfive, it was just sent to me from another player that knows the hack exists for CP. We have all spent tons of time on this game and if he found new points, more power to him. If it is a hack, as a few have suggested to me, then I would like that to be out in the open.
It's that easy? I agree, given we've all spent so much time, then it'd be a real pain if it was hacked. I'm inclined to think that it is legit though. But only numberfive himself knows.
I've been completely out of the loop, so I have no real idea what is going on here, but that is interesting given the fact that I believe DG hosts their own leaderboards. Seems like they should be able to easily detect and remove hacked scores. But sounds like someone may have figure out their encryption/checksum/whatever they may use for validating scores sent to the server(s). If that is the case, then seems like a lot of work to hack a game that is almost 3 years old. I mean, what's the point?
I've seen hackers in other DG games that have had ridiculous scores on the DG leaderboards, so it's not impossible. However, DG are able to figure out if the score is hacked (I asked them about a fishy score in another DG game myself), so perhaps the best bet is to ask them of whether the score is legit or not.
Yeah, that's about all you can do is ask DG and get them to remove any hacked scores. And then hope someone doesn't post another hacked score.

It is a hack guys (old fashioned lookup&change of memory). I feel kinda bad for what I did, there was no effort in this and I'm sorry that my score misled some of you. I queried DG to remove my score from ratings. I really enjoyed that run for top back in the days tho @summer 2010. for those of you, who is lame enough to not speak russian: Me (on the right) asking "do you know where in the top is mikeg?" and my friend (devil1319 actually) shows & says "third!!! it is one of the actual pictures that were taken during our vocation in egypt in order to mock 3rd place of mikeg and that one is self explanatory.
Cool numberfive. I really like how you handled this little issue. One person here told me once that one should not judge people on what they did but how they handle things afterwards. This is a wise advice.
Great stuff! The early CP days were definitely the best! I only heard about you guys through Papp, but I seem to remember you two finding some really cool solutions -- especially ones on levels where you were able to find a shortcut by going off screen, like level 27. It was only after seeing your score that I figured that one out.
