Problem solved. Everything fine. Apple must have changed the restore procedure. Getting the apps back required a sync which used to start automatically after a restore. Now one must sync manually. I feel silly. But all points are sound and safe and I have the black bars right and left back. Relieved: Papp
Fellow catters, fear ye not! We DID think of you when we adapted the game to iPhone 5. Since we couldn't redesign the levels to fit the new resolution (that would ruin the entire game), we went with the stretch-to-fill-the-entire-screen approach as the default option. In our experience most people, especially casual gamers, seem to prefer full screen graphics over black bars EVEN if the aspect ratio gets compromised. But here's the good part, you can change it back to the pixel perfect "normal" mode for screen shot comparison. How? - Simply go to the OPTIONS screen - Change "Screen Format" from FULL -> NORMAL Please note that this option won't appear on devices with 15:10 aspect ratio (e.g iPhone 3GS / 4 / 4S), since there's no problem with stretch vs black borders in the first place.
Though I'd like to add that a bug has slipped into the "arrows to my best" feature We're working on patching that ASAP, so you might still wanna wait for the next update.
Cool, guys. I should have trusted in you. So it is only a few hours of panic about my precious scores. And two hard-to-get points today. In fact I thought this morning "What if they had introduced an option to fix the aspect issue and I made a big fuss here". So please forgive me for the botch job comment and carry on your good work. stretch-to-fill-the-entire-screen approach and counting system Hi all, if DG is able to use the stretch-to-fill-the-entire-screen approach and the counted points do not change then I assume that the visible path of the ball is not deceicive for the calculation of the points.
Noteworthy trivia Mouseover or tap hints/answers if you do not know the answer anyhow. 1. How many cats are playing ball in cat physics? Hint: Spoiler Wrong answer is 200 Answer: Spoiler 202. There are 99 levels with 2 cats each and one level with 4 cats. 2. What tile is used most in cat physics (cats, rocks, plants and arrows exculded)? Answer: Spoiler It is the rubber bar. Unexpected but true. 3. What tile is used rarest? Answer: Spoiler Apperently it is the snake. The number of appearances equals to 3. 4. What level has the most tiles (cats, rocks, plants and arrows exculded)? Answer: Spoiler It is level 80: RUBBER TREE 5. How many level have zero tiles (cats, rocks, plants and arrows exculded)? Answer: Spoiler There are 13 levels with that property. 6. How many different backgrounds are used in levels? Answer: Spoiler There are three different backgrounds. 7 . Is there a hidden message in the sequential arrangement of the different backgrounds like in an DNA code? Answer: Spoiler I guess not. Footnote: Even The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences does not provide any clue. However, you may notice that the backgrounds change more often after level 50 and that the tendency to prefer the orange background increases from 21 in the first 50 levels to 28 in the second 50 levels. Hence nearly 50 % of the levels have an orange background. If the distribution of the backgrounds would be blind chance one could expect only 33 levels with orange background. However, it is a known fact that a normal distribution tends to be around the mean. So at least there is some trivia in it. Can someone calculate the sigma level of that distribution? 8. How many white cats and black cats throw the ball? Hint: Spoiler The numbers are not equal. Answer: Spoiler There are 51 black and 49 white cats throwing the ball. 9. How many white cats and black cats can receive the ball? Hint: Spoiler The numbers are equal. Answer: Spoiler The correct answer is 51 black and white cats can receive the ball. 10. Is there a specific sequence of cats throwing the ball? Answer: Spoiler Yes, until level 50 black and white throw the ball alternately. From level 51 on there is no clear sequence anymore. 11. What does that mean? Answer: Spoiler The people at DG originally thought that it is funny that the black and white cats throw the ball back and forth. That thought got lost somehow in later updates. 12. What level has most arrows? Answer: Spoiler Level 39: DOWN THE DRAIN 13. In what level does one specific type of tile appear most (cats, rocks, plants and arrows exculded)? Answer: Spoiler Level 38: ONE WAY HOUSE. It is the Oneway tile. It appears 15 times in said level. 14. Is it just blind coincidence that two level with the maximum properties decribed under 12. and 13 follow in succession? Answer: Spoiler I have not found any evidence suggesting that it is anything else than just blind chance. 15. What level has the fastest snake? Answer: Spoiler It is level 37: UNDER THE MUSHROOM, followed by level 20: SNAKE, followed by level 90: DOWN THE CAVE. For 10 repetitions they need approx. 11, 18 and 25 seconds (measured on a 3GS with the cheapest stop watch available - do expect laboratory conditions and precise measurement here). 16. Isn't it spooky that level 37, 38 and 39 have maximum properties and follow each other in succession? Answer: Spoiler Now I feel it too. Something psychic is going on.
Hi, has anybody noticed that the old 551 arrows in #43 only give 550? I tried about 20 times. Strange. P.S. same in 57 and 75
Still got 551. Maybe my solution differs from yours or its because of the iphone 4 On 57 and 75 i dont have the max yet ...
It is definitely either because of iOS6 or the iPhone 5. All three levels give full points on the iPad3 with iOS5, but one less each on my phone. Donutgames, do you listen?
