question guys... i'm thinking of downloading a gps application via jailbreak. will it somehow put my cp app at risk? thanks all.

 

Are you concerned about the GPS app itself or the process of jailbreaking, causing problems with CP?

 

No it will not Use a diff apple id to back your phone up to first though I dont recomend backing up a jail broke phone or ipod though especially with an id attached to your email or speaking about it really not in the states anyway

 

The process of jail breaking you can lose everything right???

 

i'm afraid the process of jailbreaking might cause problems with my cp. i have very good use for a gps app but would not risk my cp. cheap bastard that i am, i have never spent anything on apps. was happy to get cp when it was free.

 

I'm assuming that could be a possibility. But I haven't tried to jailbreak my iPhone, so I'm not sure. I'm guessing as long as you do a backup before the jailbreak, then you should be fine. And I would think that CP would work fine on a jailbroken phone.

Dont jail break than apps are cheaper than phones and i know people who it has worked great for and others that it messed up their device

 

i have never used jailbreak so i'm very concerned. how do i back up anyway. i'm not very versed in these matters.

 

Apple is trying to crack down on jail broke phones and ipods Kind of like movie companies crack down on torrent sites and bootleg movies

 

if i jailbreak an app, does that make my device a jailbroke one? sorry peeps, a techno-imbecile here.

 

Simply use usb cable hook up to a pc or mac with your itunes account let it sync then back up if your device fails after jail break you should be able to restore from last back up but jail breaking can damage your device

 

I believe so I am a pc techno can fix any pc but not an apple techno I dont recomend you do this though

 

by the way I hate more buttons still cant get this stupid thing you think it would be easy but so random driving me loopy

Why do you want on an ipod anyway do you have a 3g or 4g mobile router or omething

 

was just playing with the idea. was on a boat a few days ago and couldn't find the divesite as the water was a little rough. a gps would have been very useful. i don't bring my ipodtouch on boats unless necessary and i hate carrying too many gadgets. they don't fit my bad boy image. (silly grin)

The only female chasing me is my wife with a list of stuff to finish (caulk the new tile trim, clean garage,hang new curtain rods,put in the new matching electric outlets and switches,etc) so nope I dont know it but i finished 2 out of 20 items on the honey do list today so maybe i wont have to sleep on the couch lol
