Transferring pictures to the PC

If I take a picture on the iPhone, do I have to disconnect and reconnect every time in order for the PC to see the new image? I can't seem to get the PC to refresh it's idea of what is in the iPhone's picture folder.

I'll be wearing my usb socket out at this rate, as opposed to SpaceBOYO who is wearing out a different socket. Baaaah!

I think you have to just re-sync or just e.mail it to yourself that's what I do
