The game, 20 hours long with a lot of variety, also has 2 DLC packs in the works.
I guess Konami decided to go the GOW-DMC route. I'll be getting this as long as the initial reviews are good. Oct 5th
A huge doubt is in my mind about this coming out in 3 weeks time. Can't see it happening.
it blows my mind how far animation has come. i can remember back in the day the first video i saw in a game.. was just basic 3d animation but blew my mind.. and this is just 20x better.. thumbs up to all the artist
I have a feeling its gonna be a GOW knockoff and get in the 70s average reviews on metacritic....hopefully its good tho
I looks just... like... GOW....
It does look good though. I mean I am a huge Castlevania nerd so inevitably I will play it.
Go to 1:22:40. More gameplay and boss battles.
I'll agree that the combat system is darn near identical to GOW but the creatures, world and story Konami has created looks quite unique.
Demo out today in Europe for PSN Plus subscribers.
I can wait another week for the demo.
It says demo out for regular PSN users on the 29th.
Anyone who has a PLUS subscription please post some impressions of the demo as soon as you can.
Best quality for now. New orchestral music at 8:52. Also look for the big man himself. It's an amazing gameplay trailer with what I believe ends with an orchestral rendition of a classic Castlevania tune (Bloody Tears?) that gave me chills... Dracula battle at the beginning was cool too.
Reviews so far:
OPM UK: 9/10
OXM UK: 9/10
Xbox World 360: 90%+
Games Aktuell: 83%
Oct 5th is the release date unless they changed it just recently. I already paid in full reserved this and Fallout NV. Still undecided on Dead Rising 2 since I hear it has the same problems as the first one did.

Also the theme at the end of the gameplay trailer was confirmed to be Gabriel's theme.
Oct 5th for U.S.
Oct 8 for Eu
Dec 20 for Japan
Well I hope the reviews are true, Konami has been putting out too many mediocre Castlevania's in the past 10 years, it's time for a real good one.
I get the feeling I'm going to really enjoy this game, but at the same time feel as though it's lost some of it's identity along the way. I'll enjoy it for new reasons, but not because it's Castlevania.
What does that mean exactly?
