When I first read the contest information, i thought it looked like a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, you have to PAY to enter.

So, I will not be entering a non equal oppurtuity contest/raffle.
It's unfortunate when a developer has such a lack of confidence in their own product (Especially when the app is reasonably priced, like this one) that they have to hold a contest that lifts people's hopes of winning something of value, to get them to purchase.

    Reason for edit:

I think this is very fair. It's like if call of duty did some kind of high score contest. You have to have the game to compete. Also I think the prize is also good. I really don't see the problem.

It's just my personal opinion. And yours is yours.
It might possibly be fair, but I believe developers have a responsibility to disclose facts regarding contests. I would have thought that you agreed and I would not have commented if he had. I'm sure that Call of Duty would also state that a purchase is required.
As I wrote before, the price of the game is very reasonable. I have purchased from this dev. And; if I decide I like this game, I'll purchase this one too, but not because of the possibility or hope that I might win a great prize.

    The Internet, man...

Come on, people, don't be that rude on us. You're talking directly to the two guys who have worked on this game (Dani and Alberto). Show some empathy. :D

This is a contest to do some marketing of our game and reward our best players, is that simple. And we're planning on making one contest for each game stage, so there will be several chances to win. There is no other purpose than that. Participation is optional.

    The long story:

Yesterday, one of our players twitted us showing a screenshot of the ending scene, i.e, he was the first player to beat Stage 5 (in fact, is the only one in the Stage 5 High Scores Leaderboard). We wanted to reward him with something special, so we contacted him via email and offered the same rewards we have described in the contest poster.

Then, we thought it will be a good idea to run these contests and offer the same rewards to other of our players (the best players). We really don't see any problem here.

I'll add the game's price to the original forum post, and even to the poster, if that's what bothers you.

    Dani.

Contest ends on November 14th (included).

Some tip: do not use the Gorgon Head if you want to get high scores... :D

    Regards!

Looks like a game I would buy regardless.. I just never enter these contest where the high score wins because I never get the high score lol.. Some talented gamers roam these forums.. I'll buy it and drop a review.. Good luck with your game amigo, buena suerte ☺️☺️

    @Luciano1084:

I hope you like the game!

Follow my advice to get a high score: don't pick up the Gorgon Head or the Color Orbs power ups. They are useful to beat stages faster, but not to get high scores.

Also, if you analyze the stats when you beat a stage, you'll understand what things are giving you more points: make long combos, finish with all bricks "alive" and kill many stage enemies (purple ones in this case).

    Good luck!

    Dani.
