Apparently it came out 4 months ago, but it got an “English” translation a couple months ago and the developer has been updating it regularly ever since. Even with the terrible translation (the title of this thread is not a typo), this is surprisingly a very decent single-player, turn-based RPG. It reminds me of Rogue Hearts, but with combat taking place in a separate tactical screen (imagine an isometric FF with one-character FFT combat). The story is kind of incomprehensible, but the gameplay is pretty sharp and fairly deep — you have classes, loot, combat skills, exploration, etc. It does require an internet connection, and there are non-aggressive IAPs. Apparently you can also watch ads for resources, but so far the ask has been very subtle. There are no login bonus, special deals, etc — you start the game and go right to where you left off in the dungeon. And it does seem to have an ending. Here’s some video: I’d say it’s worth a download. Haven’t had a problem on the US East Coast — connects within seconds without lag. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,046 623 113 #6 anthony78, Jan 19, 2019 Is there an additional download? Or is it just the 314 MB. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,551 1,080 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #7 squarezero, Jan 19, 2019 No additional downloads. As I mentioned above, it does require an internet connection, though. If you read the description, they talk about a Castle Legend series, and obviously this is game 3. For the life of me, I haven’t been able to find anything about the other games. I wonder if they are know by a different name, or maybe this is the first one to be released in the west. Anyway, if anyone knows anything, I’d love to hear about it. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,046 623 113 #8 anthony78, Jan 20, 2019 Decided to give this a shot and, yeah, the translation is horrific. Not sure it’s worth bothering to read the story. But the gameplay is rather good. Does remind me of Rogue Hearts as well. The difficulty seems high, however, which makes me worry about the need for IAPs. That said, it’s not too punishing in that when you die, you start at right at the point before that battle. We’ll see how it goes. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,878 355 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #9 stubbieoz, Jan 21, 2019 Looks like a game I might like. Always get sucked into games with rpg elements and turn based combat. The constant online requirement means I probably won’t be buying any iap’s. Got burnt too many times in the past when servers get shut down. Curiuos how much lag I will have to put up with being in Australia. I’ll report back in case anyone is interested. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,551 1,080 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #10 squarezero, Jan 21, 2019 Well, you’re closer to china than I am . PBSNellie Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2013 1,372 163 63 Southern CA #11 PBSNellie, Jan 21, 2019 It looks like a similar game that came out some time ago, can't remember the name. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,878 355 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #12 stubbieoz, Jan 21, 2019 Played for a couple of hours and experienced no lag at all. As mentioned the engrish is terrible, so forget about any sort of story to follow. Skill and item descriptions are quite okay though. Only has a seperate on/off for both music and sound. You will hit the music off pretty quick as the battle music imho is terrible, sounds like a 6 year old with their first drum kit. There is a game mechanic where you are able to drop down tiles in the adventure map and explore some more. It is not at all obvious where to use the tiles to get hidden stuff. They cost 10 gold a tile to buy but I had over 40K gold so they are not a big burden on your gold. There is a diamond iap but you can get diamonds for an ad watch every 3 minutes (you can turn this option off if you like), and so far every hidden reward I uncovered with the tile dropping would reward diamonds. There is one $7.99 iap but the description is totally in chinese so I have no idea what that buys you. One thing that needs pointing out... this game is really tough early on. I have died about half a dozen times. So far there is no grinding available so you are very restricted on how you can improve your character. There is also no enemy respawning. I found I had to start all over on a number of battles to work out how to exploit an enemies weakness and movement. Luckily there appears to be no death penalty and you just have to restart the battle. For a buck it is pretty good value but I’m hoping that the difficulty gets a bit more managable than so far. I’m only lvl 10 and have just managed to get to the next map area. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
