Can we have an option to disable the tutorial so we can replay the first few levels how we want, without having to deal with all the How To Play stuff?
I have a trap suggestion. How about a "manhole" type cover or something that covers the ladders like a shield. Kind of like a troll but only placed on ladders. You can upgrade it to spikes or whatever to add different effects. Although I do have to consider that ladders are usually the only area for the enemy to climb through so maybe it'd make it too difficult for the AI?
Some nice trap and area ideas, I still like the idea of a baby dragon hanging from the ceiling in a cage or even as a minion, could be fire, ice, poison or any type. Would like a wall vent furnace to use fire damage or maybe a noxious fumes one which paralyses for a few seconds? A little mini ogre minion? Can imagine a small ice yeti with a big club running around.
It' a nice game, even though the Scream generators are bit annoying. Collecting them AND the gold distracts too much from actual gameplay and lessens the fun imo. It also feels like PvZ a bit then. Also, I don't like double currencies, especially in paid games.
The two currencies are for different types of things, so I think it makes sense that they are separate, personally.
Yeah, I really don't consider this game to have two currencies... especially since coins can be turned into those blue things. Anyway... has anyone found out how to successfully use the decoy princess? I've been trying, but it seems like every time I use her, she doesn't draw any attention... maybe I'm just not placing it where I need to... ?
I've got everything unlocked and everything fully upgraded now and the game really can't be counted as dual currency. I do also agree though that picking up coins and screams draws from the gameplay a bit, I know they are collected on their own eventually but I would like it if scream generators just did the same as the princess and they go right into our count. As for the decoy princess it had no trouble using her, anywhere I place her even on the bottom floor everyone will come down to the bottom floor to take her. Also I made the mistake of leaving the casino wheel until last upgrade and found it's really good for repeating levels for earn extra coins and one use abilities but I can't see myself using them on new levels.
Yeah about a quarter through the second world and despite what you might imply from the screenshots and IAP descriptions, this is not a dual currency system. There is only one currency to unlock new traps and upgrades; the other two are only accumulated and used while actually playing in game, just like any other TD game where you're gathering enough material to build towers. Coins for new traps and upgrades Screams to actually build traps during gameplay Blue coins are used to buy the extra special abilities, which you only need if you plan and play poorly
So... I didn't think I had a problem until I saw this... Now I think I might be a little obsessed. And I'm only on stage 3-11... and have NOT done any of the 'Master' stages yet. I've also only reached level 7 in Endless, so I've got plenty of gameplay ahead of me, especially since the gameplay has really held up throughout the game. I love trying different strategies for different level designs and seeing how quickly I can clear out a stage, or how few traps I can use.
^LOL.. Im only on 2-10, as my time's split between Castle Doombad, Colossatron, Project 83113 (fresh playthrough ) and Heroes of Loot (yet again). At least i know im progressing in Doombad at a decent pace compared to you guys
I didn't realise Project 83113 had been removed from the App Store, I wonder why. I have 3221 heroes slain
Yeah it's fantastic. Think Mirror's Edge iOS with guns blazing. Exploration, platforming, boss fights, hovering, catapulting (like the green ballooned things you bounce off in Rayman run games), score combos, collectibles... It's all here. I really dont get why they pulled Project Belle from the appstore when it was one of the best action platformers during that time. Maybe it lacked exposure? On topic, what's a good manual trap to upgrade first? Still only been using the Stomper, which is still great at what it does. That said, i still have the To-Doom that requires using manual traps only.
To be honest I have all manual traps fully upgraded and the stomper is still my favourite especially above ladders with ac on the wall behind the ladder.
Really thinking endless needs some work it's stupid just to go through stage 1 to wherever you have time for or can do then start again. It should either 1: Continue from where you left off so if you make it to stage 5 you start at stage 5 next time. 2: Save so when you quit it saves which stage you are up to this try...still dislike the idea of doing it from stage 1 as someone with more time can do the best as they can stay on all day 3: I would like an endless mode where the tower keeps growing and growing rather than switching to a new level. Finally I'll just say I actually liked the dungeon levels more so I'd like a mode in a dungeon too.
I better start accepting IAP, otherwise Ill miss fantastic games like Castle Doombad. Its really good.
Play the first few stages, it takes u through the store etc. In the store u can hit plus signs for iap currency, or icons for upgrading traps. In game u tap the power ups on top left to buy extras of those with the blue face coins.
Can definitely see myself having a lot of fun with this in the future, IAPs are completely optional and IMO both currencies are equally as easy to earn as the other. Must buy for any fans of tower defense, or anyone looking for a fun casual game with witty writing.
