I'm pleased to rediscover that it seems this isn't actually dead after all, though rather concerned at the degree of feature creep, leading to this prolonged delay in launch. For those able to enjoy it at present, is its apparently IAP-based nature off-putting? Is there any way of short-circuiting that, and simply buying the game? (If I'm not misreading the thread, of course)
I wouldn't call it feature creep. We're doing everything possible to make the core game as good as possible. We have a enormous amount of new features planned for post release.
You can totally play and enjoy it without IAPs it will just take some time to do stuff but getting a season pass is the best bet I'd say play a few days and if you like what you see and want unlimited access to everything all the time then get a pass cause the rewards are worth it I don't recommend a lot of games but this one I put my seal of approval and I had never played Animal Crossing
Prepare yourself for the biggest update to Castaway Paradise ever! Now available for iPhone! One of the most requested features was the ability to easily move around your furniture and items. We have listened! Update Castaway Paradise and try out the new controls. It's never been easier to create the paradise of your dreams! Don't forget to rate Castaway Paradise on the App Store! We need your 5 star reviews.
I understand the frustration. Castaway Paradise is a huge game te make. We have underestimated the work needed to complete the release several times. That is why we're not sharing release dates until we are absolutely sure.
It's realllllly close now. We're working on a few more features and we're going to do some weeks of testing. Then it'll be ready.
How is the game saved for this? If I get the NZ version will I be able to keep my saved game when the worldwide release is out? Or will I constantly have to switch to the NZ store to update to keep my save?
