It looks great, I like the power-ups, it has local multiplayer and the capture the flag mode is great. This is so much better than the soft launched Micro Machines. Things I don't like is the music, it kind of sounds like it's royalty free music. And the controls are not great either, you steer with some sort of wheel, I prefer buttons. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #3 hellscaretaker, Dec 13, 2015 Last edited: Dec 13, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Here is my take on the game spent once again another hour live streaming the game, didn't want to rush it out. You can change the controls on the game to make it button control which does make the game a lot easier to control. You unlock new tracks be having enough stars and these stars you gain from completing contacts or as we commonly call them goals and this entails finishing in the required positions of that track you racing on. You also have capture the flag style tracks, and also survive in which you have a big rig and you have to fight off the enemy vehicles to make it to the end. There are no energy times i seen in this game at all, but you will have to grind you away way though the game to unlock better weapons etc and of course these do come with timers. If you like car wars stuff then you like this one. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,404 418 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Dec 13, 2015 Thanks for the great impressions guys. This definitely does look promising. Just curious, can Single Player be played offline? I love how there's no timers - I can deal with upgrade timers for a free game as long as they get rid of actual play timers. Downloading now touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #6 touchy85, Dec 13, 2015 Just tried to play it offline and the single player works. And the game won't let me change to button controls during a race, but it's possible to change it in the menu. Controls are great now. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #7 hellscaretaker, Dec 13, 2015 This is strictly single player game, as multiplayer is only done via Wifi not server based so you wont need net connection to play this game from what i seen of it so far L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,404 418 83 #8 L.Lawliet, Dec 13, 2015 Thank you! The steering wheel one I guess I'm used to because that's how I played Mini Motor Racing. I'm still stitching between the two tho. Like I said, both work well and I'm usually a stickler when it comes to any kind of racing games. I think the devs dig a great job all around on this one. The visuals, the controls, the F2P mechanics, all seem to have been really given some love. ramon31 Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 843 0 16 Hortacultrist Australia #17 ramon31, Dec 13, 2015 This game is great. Very similar to Death Rally if you remember that absolute classic on iOS. Any game that reminds me of Rock n' Roll Racing on the SNES and MegaDrive I'm going to enjoy. bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 6 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #18 bigrand1, Dec 14, 2015 Ahhhhhhh, I dunno if I need this game. I live in the L.A. area, after all, and we do this kind of thing every day in REAL life! And we get to see bloodied people die in the streets all the time! So this seems kinda tame in comparison! Actually, though, I do like the music in this and the sound effects! Gunshots ring out loud and clear and the explosions feel very satisfying!! Not that enthused about the graphics/color palette choice. Perhaps other tracks mix it up more than the one in the video. Not sure. May give this a try, but I'm not in a rush to pick this one up right now. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,404 418 83 #19 L.Lawliet, Dec 14, 2015 I am really really enjoying this one. It can be tough but damn it is fun. I just tried out the other game mode where you bring one item to a specific point on the map and it's really hectic. Can't wait to play some more! bestkevin Well-Known Member Jul 4, 2012 190 0 0 #20 bestkevin, Dec 14, 2015 Reminds me of movie Mad Max: Fury Road. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
