I hope it's for added content and not for FTP gimmicks like timers and other BS. I just have a couple of gripes with it. 1) Consumable IAP to buy coins, which speed up the travelling times among other things (albeit behind various math questions so that kids...who don't know how to use calculators...can't access the IAP). 2) The runner segments are bad. Like REALLY bad. Like, "Oh my God, what were you thinking?" BAD!!! There's also a $1.99 IAP for more content that, obviously, I'm fine with. When you travel, you lose hours. If you run out of hours before capturing the suspect, the case you're on is over. There's nothing that gets in the way of playing. It's just annoying considering CS has always been an educational game primarily. I finished off the first in...ugh, about 10 minutes. Take that for what its worth. Also, it's worth noting that the game downloads files after its installed and it's 700 MB installed in total. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #19 andsoitgoes, Nov 18, 2015 Seriously? Damn That's a shame. It's like they're just barely factoring in our nostalgia but ensuring they use BS IAP hooks. In angry birds, fine, but for an educational game? Nope. I was intrigued but the timers to travel and get where you need to go was part of the frickin process! If you can just pay to play, what's the point? Again, stuff IAPs in whatever game, fine. But for something that's an educational tool? That just feels wrong. HarryWarden Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 427 0 0 #20 HarryWarden, Nov 18, 2015 Yeah, the file size is misleading as it balloons once installed. It's a fun enough game and when you replay missions, the suspect changes so some of the clues do too so that adds replay value. They should have given more than 3 missions for the initial price though as they are pretty easy to complete. And yeah, the runner sequence that ends each mission is awful in every way. The graphics are terrible and the game doesn't really respond to your swipes at all in a timely manner. Thankfully, the sequences are short. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
