(I presumed there would already be one) I just bought this today and it is my new favourite app, if you like card games and have the physical cards you can scan all your cards into the app and play your game on your iPad without having to get out and setup your cards each time. This might not sound great to everyone but this is brilliant for those who will use it. You get to create boxes of cards that you can then split down into separate decks. For example I just scanned in all my space hulk death angel cards and there all there in one game section (box1) but then there split down further into separate decks like the enemy's, event cards, location cards etc. It took a bit of figuring out to start with but after that its brilliant. Here's a pic of how it can turn out. Can't believe I haven't found this before now. Grudunza Well-Known Member Oct 5, 2012 47 0 6 #7 Grudunza, Jun 2, 2013 Yeah, this is a great app. Works really well for things like the LOTR living card game. I've played Shadowrift and Legendary with it, so presumably other deck builders like Thunderstone should work. Taking individual shots, scanning, some other method? Also, am I the only one that would love an iPhone version? Take out the importing and just give me access to a few of my decks. Would be great for games like Dice Town where digital cards mean all I need are dice and a few chits to take the game everywhere with me. I have the original card game too so would be interested to what extent it functions. Tried Citadels? oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #11 oooooomonkey, Jun 2, 2013 Yes I'm able to play the game using this app. It's basically like a big sandbox for card games. You start by either taking a pic of your cards and fitting them into a card template in the app (which took awhile) You can also get them from your camera roll. And you get 10 separate boxes (or tabs along the top of your screen) to keep your cards in, which you then break down if you like into different sections. For death angel I've got these decks setup, Genestealers, void locks, brood lords,location2,location3,location4, terrain cards, events cards, Then I've put the teams together with the actions cards so I have red, blue, purple, grey, green and yellow decks. After you have all you cards/decks set up the game table is just a sandbox to do what you like. You bring in which ever decks you want and position them where you like by dragging them around or double tapping to rotate them. You can tap on a card or pile and you get options to either flip, rotate add tokens or shuffle. You can draw cards into another pile if you like then click of the top card and say make deck and it puts all those cards into a pile which can then be delt or shuffled. So for the setup of choosing the marines position you can put your chosen three teams (or more) into a pile and then shuffle them for the random setup that's needed. There's a built in dice at the bottom of the screen but its only customisable from 2-20 sides (at the minute) So far death angel I've got the 6 sides of the die as a card pile in the tip left of the screen and when I need a dice roll I just click the pile and press shuffle and the top card changes. Then you have the tabs on the sides of the screen which when pressed bring out like a sliding draw which you can store extra cards on, (I've got the action cards stored in them) You can also save and load you games, so once I setup the basic game for a one player game I saved that setup so you don't have to setup all the cards each time. Hope this answers questions, sorry about the huge wall of text but I'm so impressed with this app. oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #12 oooooomonkey, Jun 2, 2013 The space hulk card game is awesome hard though, From the box expect 44% chance of mission failure and an 86% chance of casualties. You can play with a zoomed out view, which I'm finding easier as you have more space, especially if you already know what the cards do but if not You can just about read the cards and you can click once on a card to zoom in on it anyway. It's essentially Card Warden... For an entire board game and totally free. Mainly it's used to teach people the game online with chat or to take insanely complex/large games (Arkham Horror, War of the Ring, MaheKnight) and make them portable. The community is awesome cause all a publisher has to do is ask and they stop hosting the mods to the public. Nothing stops you from making it yourself if you have the time. That's probably the hardest part to get around for something like Card Warden. I only have a few card games but I don't have a scanner handy so I'd have to take a picture of each card individually.
