Must be nice having that luxury, you invest in a car the owner didn't tell you it had missing part so you can just not drive it and find another car. Selfish desires? Paying premium prices and not wanting it to have freenium model now that's unheard of right . Please get of your high horse
But this comes down to the responsibility of a consumer to do their due diligence before making a purchase. It also reflects why it is completely valid to express specific concerns and issues with a product as a form of offering information to other potential consumers. However, the simple fact is that games are strictly luxury items, and thus attempts to attack the companies themselves and their practises are generally going to fall flat. It really isnt a moral or ethical issue, its a game, and whether or not that game succeeds or fails on the market, it will never be anything deeper in meaning. Thus, by all means list out your complaints, but if you want others to take you seriously, post them in a level-headed manner and dont bring emotional fury into a fairly mundane subject.
And what resources could I used before buying this game. Only valid source was the information they provided and past games. Cartoon Network made a Ben 10 card game look similar to this and based on of there games I played ( I have 5 CN games) there is no time limit nor limit of content so should I not come to the conclusion this game will follow the same trend?
Well, in fairness, you could have waited a while until impressions and reviews came out. This goes back to games being luxury items, rather than necessities that need to be purchased immediately upon release. And again, this is why I fully support you presenting your views on the games shortcomings as they could well help others who have waited and are considering buying the game. I simply didn't find how you expressed yourself to be very productive in relaying such information.
Fair enough I'll admit to that my approach wasn't ideal but there's one thing I have to disagree with you with. I'm 13 yrs old, I get money from shoveling snow babysitting mowing lawns etc.four dollars may not be a lot to you but to me it's all the 5 AM lawns that need to be mowed or the crying kid etc. if I decided to get a mcdouble and they forgot pickles it's not a o we'll it's a dollar, it's o god why did I do this for 75 percent this. You may not see a moral issue with this but I seeing that as stealing. Now I'm not saying this game is stealing per se but it is definitely short handing that's all I got to say on this. Sorry if I caused any disrespect
Soliuz I do agree with you on many of your points, I just think you weren't familiar with the boards knowing that people usually don't repeatedly post one after another until someone replies. Normally if no one posts after you, you just edit your previous post. But it's cool. Let's get over it guys.
Yea lets just move on, I think a few of us are pmsing about this update and I'm pretty close to be there with you. Just try and enjoy the game as best you can. I'm trying to spend my time doing productive things by building cards I would like to have. Also I'm trying to get plenty of coins to spend and level my BMO and finish leveling my Gunter.
Guys if you use a useless swamp deck or combo deck would you mind sharing it? I really want to make one that I like but haven't been able to
Anyone got any advice on cards to craft that are doable/helpful in the mid/early stages of the game? I'm at levels in the 40s and I feel the effectiveness of my deck dropping fast relative to my opponents, who really just spam better creatures. My deck is primarily Sandy/Corn based on cards I've gotten from buying chests, direct drops and a very limited amount of farming. I just put some gems into expanding my inventory with the intention of using that space to craft. Getting the cards necessary to craft even the simplest cards is so tedious. I tend to play through all my hearts without getting the materials even to make a lowly corn dog. How do you guys do it?
There is a list available showing you what battles to play in order to get the cards needed. So you just do those battles X amount of times till you have the needed the cards to make whatever your trying to make. I didn't start making cards till after I finished the game. 90% of my cards have come from the gems earned throughout beating the game.
Thanks. I've seen that list, and even using it for guidance, crafting is tough. I feel like I've been pretty unlucky with the algebraic chests I've opened so far. Getting a couple of repeats (e.g. comfy cave) and scrub Hero cards have really set me back. Now I'm at a point, where I can't really get 3 stars on many remaining battles, as they're all Niceland or Rainbow cards only. I don't have enough of these creatures to make a competitive deck -- and I don't really have inventory space to build up these types of decks without selling off the good cards I already have. That's one of my key frustrations with this game. It's a lot of fun, but the developers hamstring deck development in so many ways, it feels like they are just trying to wring money out of users. I totally empathize with others' frustrations (e.g. the rants above). I feel like if the developers were even just slightly less greedy this game would be amazing. Oh well. I guess I should try to get better at the battle wheel.
Don't worry we are all in the same boat who don't buy gems. When I don't have the firepower to beat a challenge I usually leave it and level up 20 before going back to those I left behind. As for the battle wheel, there's really no way around it but just keep at it. I know that the 3rd turn, the opponent gets an advantage so your creatures will MISS even with the wheel on so I try to ensure by the 3rd turn my creatures are strong enough to withstand a hit OR I should already have a replacement ready when the creature dies.
Well, to those complaining about how we have to pay for a game that has freemium qualities, $3.99 isn't much for a game with graphics of this high quality. We rarely see paid games that have graphics better than this game does, much more a freemium game. Admittedly, it does have it's kinks with the time/hearts, the chests, and many minor bugs, but I personally prefer to look at the future with this game. Every game starts out pretty messy, but as time goes by, it definitely will improve. I've spent $70-$80 on this game, and I personally do not mind because it's all going to the development. Maybe we should all just calm down for a moment, and just enjoy as it is for now.
4 USD isn't much? I don't want to be the who says this but according to 2013 consensus reports one USD can feed a full grown adult in a third world country for 1.25 week that's 5 weeks for 4 USD amount of food. Also graphics for apps don't mean much it's all about the gameplay imo
Bmorefossil, I fully envy your amount of 5star rares lol and how on earth did you get a Mother Fluff Bucket? Did you get it from an Algebraic Chest?
Different economies, soliuz. I understand you worked hard for your money, but you shouldn't be so rash to the point of posting a number of posts just because you're angry. I've been relatively disappointed with the game as well, but to me, I just think that I spent money on this game and I'm going to make the best out of it that I can.
even if it was out of anger, those post are nonetheless true based on numerous complains on reviews and facebook and i whole hardheartedly agree
Soliuz, to each his own. And I'm hopingg that you and the others, as well, still choose to see what this game has to offer in the future. It would be pretty awesome if all of us just came together as a community.
Thanks for the tip. Yea, I've been rockin' Dr. D as my Hero card. Can't beat his resurrection skill. Hereculeye seems like a pretty decent mid-level creature card, but farming seems like it will be a pain, what with needing 2x bone wand and 1x super hug. I guess that's nothing compared to advanced card crafting. I'll try to make that my next farming project though. I'm all out of hearts tonight.
