I've never played with the wheel on :D I suppose it depends on how much
Playing you want to do in one sitting, and how easy or hard you want the game to be.

After being stuck on the "field of nightmares" glitch, I'm about caught up. And I'm running into the same problems. . . I have 22 hearts, level 52 cost 9, level 53 cost 9, and the "battle heart match" level 54 cost 12. . . . That basically makes a wait of around 2 hours, after only playing 2 matches.

I agree that a one-time IAP to remove the timer would have been nice. The whole gem system hasn't tempted me to buy anything.

Anyways, has anybody completed the game? What type of decks have you been using on the later levels?

I haven't completed the game, but I am on level 75, the last stage before the Ice Kingdom. I'm currently using:

Corn - Archer Dan, Patchy the Pumpkin, Cornataur, 2 Husker Worms, and a Cornball
Sandy - Mud Angel, Beach Mum, 2 Sandfoots
Rainbow - 2 The Picklers, Evil Eye, Freezy J, Woad Mobile Home, 2 Corn Castles, 2 Unempty Coffins, Volcano, Snake Eye Ring

I recently threw the 1 stars in to block as the AI changes strategies late game and tends to dump 1 massively powerful creature a turn, and the best way to keep up is stalling while drawing combinations that can take them down.

That sounds like a good deck. I've been using a Sandy/Corn deck too. :) Usually 3 Sandy and 1 Corn.

    Corn:
    - 3 Husker Knights
    - 1 Ethan Allfire
    - Travelin Farmer
    - The Sludger

    Sandy:
    - 4 Beach Mums
    - 4 Ms. Mummys
    - 3 Sand Angel
    - 2 Sand Eyebat
    - Sandfoot
    - Sandsnake

    Rainbow:
    - 2 Nice Ice Baby
    - Mouthball
    - Evil Eye
    - Woad Mobile Home
    - Volcano
    - Bubblegum Butt

I agree with the strategy of "stalling" of the AI, that can really help. A lot of my smaller creatures are there to do their floop ability and die on the next turn. :) The deck is working well for where I'm at now.

    ----////----

I've used basically all my gems on expanding inventory, and I'm really not sure that was the way to go. I can craft some great cards, but; some of the requirements are crazy. . . For example to craft "The Sludger" you need 1 Mace Stump, 5 Corn Scepters, and 1 Ice Paladin. To craft the Ice Paladin (that's required for The Sludger) you need 1 Husker night, 4 Freezy J's, and 3 Detective Bobby's. . . The Freezy J's haven't dropped and I can't craft them (yet?). . . That's a lot of cards/hassle to craft the same card that came from the 3 gem chest.

Regardless of the timers and what not, I've definitely had 4 dollars worth of fun with it.

Yeah, I don't think you really need to expand your inventory, but mainly that is because stages have set drops. For some reason I can't get the website up at the moment, but someone over at BGG has made a list of which stages each card is dropped on, so for crafting it just a matter of picking what card to craft and then farming the specific requirements. Thus there is no reason to hoard tons of cards.

That would be tremendously helpful. If you're able to find it again, will you post a link? It seems like Strawberry Butt, and Cerebral Bloodstorm are the two most common drops, but other than that I have no idea.

Damn you I turned off the wheel lol. It's more difficult but I'm actually enjoying it more.. feels more "card game like" and less interactive card / video game hybrid. But I definitely do not have the cards or skills to do "beat in X amount of turns" or "take less than 5 damage" without the wheel. Hell, I barely beat X amount of turns with the wheel and can't do take less than 5 damage with the wheel on :(

However good news I got 1 decent 3 star card. My first! The slugger with 15 attack and 15 defense I believe. Not bad for my first :) Though Cerebral Bloodstorm is his arch enemy..

Btw, does anyone know anything about the Card Wars code that comes in the real deck? I'm assuming it might be a reusable code? :D

    I'd be surprised if it's a reusable code:confused:
But yeah I like playing with the wheel off but I do play a lot of card games, I've beat the don't take more than five damage and in five turns challenges, I think you really have to have hem go first and then use a little strategy, my best cars only does 9attack .
    I really like this game

The next update should have some fixes to alleviate all of the waiting, etc. We are just waiting for it to be approved and posted. Thanks for the suggestions too.

The next update will fix this, it IS on every system unfortunately. It had to do with the cards that the other character would get. Not quite sure why this wasnt caught before, but there you got - We are just waiting for Apple to put it out at this point.

Thank you for the "I Really like this game" thats nice! :)

We agree - sorry about that. It was not really intentional to make it that difficult (although probably not easy to believe that). Well see how this next update goes and then go from there.

Have you heard of the save glitch where the game randomly doesn't save at all. I'm not sure how to reproduce this but everytime I quit the app I'm so scared I ALWAYS relaunch it to make sure I didn't lose my cards.. :(

This is good feedback for us on the building card. Thanks. I think we will change this. Ricardo is Algebraic rare well... because he's Ricardio! (that said, we will take a closer look at that to see if we can make him more 'algebraic'). Now that you mention it.

Yes! it seems to be quite rare, so we're going to put in some logging data to try and capture it. If anyone on the forum does encounter it please email me at [email protected] and we can look at your save gave.

    Thanks.

This is exactly right. Our intention was to learn as much as possible, see what players like (don't like), etc. So for example going first/second seems to be an issue that MUST be worked out in Multiplayer (and ultimately single player experience) There have been some really nice ideas on this forum which are helpful as we are designing.

    **Double Facepalm** Ugh!

100% agree! This was our fault 100%.... What was SUPPOSED to happen was that it would be released in English for the German market until the translation was ready. However - it went out with Google translations, which if you have ever used before - well you probably know what I am talking about. This was just a flag that was set incorrectly - and when you set flags incorrectly - you get German Brusts I guess.

The next build has fixed this and has English reinstated. The next build will have German put in after that (proper German this time...) thanks to the awesome translations skills of one certain awesome German.

If I may add another suggestion, krr ricci, while your around: with challenges, currently the "use only creatures of X faction type" challenges are more annoying than fun, largely because all spells and buildings are rainbow and thus nullify the challenge if used. This means that, especially with the later levels, you need a full deck of nothing but solid creatures of a specific faction, difficult to collect without a lot of grinding crafting and storage capacity. The alternative is to make a deck with a few creatures and a lot of filler. Overall, if at least spells and buildings were aloud in these challenges, I think it would make them a lot more viable for people.
